Operation Locker is a pretty good map for a shotgun. You've gotta stick to the corridors, though, else you'll get mauled in that killzone in the middle and sniped in the outdoor portion.
Speaking of shotguns, I remember seeing them have ridiculous range in BC2. People made montages of them sniping helicopter pilots with them, lol. Is that the case in BF4? I haven't given them the practice necessary to determine for myself.
Operation Locker is also very good to farm incendiary grenade kills as well as shotguns. Tip: the burn particles goes through walls somewhat, so chuck at the wall for some burn damage.
I'll never learn to fly a jet, but it's ok. I'll just crash and burn so many times that eventually with the conquest control points, I'll unlock all the things.
^^ I learnt that the hard way. Threw an incen to bounce off the doorframe into the people camping the hallway from the outside to the panopticon (spelling?) and hid behind the wall only to burn myself to death :\
Been playing pistol only servers, wow they nerf Rex & Magnum pretty hard. The half sec delay AFTER you click is annoying. You have to track the target all the way.
I haven't seen it anywhere, but You can download China Rising already. go to Origin, right click BF4 -> Show game detalis -> right click China Rising bam, 4,5 GB
I just played 2 rounds of the 4 new maps in Conquest. I really didn't like the desert one, I forget the name. Most of it is way too open for infantry to get around and the middle is too much of an enclosed clusterfuck to be fun.
The rest seemed decent from the short time I spent on them although they all had the usual suspect places for random pubbies to be useless on top of mountains and assorted tall buildings.
Guilin peaks has its own metro esque tunnel of death in the middle, although with a couple side entrances that'll likely attract the majority of pubbies on that map. The rest of it is fine though with enough room to maneouvre around the clusterfuck in the middle.
Dragon valley has a shitton of vehicles, holy shit. 3 AA's scout/attack choppers, jets and both types of armor in addition to a lot of jeeps.
Altai range seems like it'll be heavily dominated by a team that has either a good AA driver or a couple decent pilots. Each team has an AA and 2 stealth jets, and one of each chopper I think? Maybe there isn't a scout, but I just don't remember.
Someone else can probably point out some glaring imbalances in the maps I missed. And please do correct my vehicle counts if you can.

I think it's B flag that spawns its own AA in addition to the main spawn one for both teams.
As for usefulness of aircraft with 3 AA's, there's a ton of tall mountains that you can easily hide behind as well as tons of armor and cliffs for engineers to be a pain in the ass from. Also not very many places to position yourself to dodge MBT-law's etc. with terrain.
