Figured out my problem. Hadn't shut off my router in forever, lol. Letting it sit for a good while did the trick.

The biggest thing I can complain about right now is how slowly it takes an average to bad player to unlock stuff. I mean, if I'm unable to cap positions in Dom, 'cause I can't defend well, 'cause I can't kill people quickly enough, it's this vicious cycle of taking forever to unlock new stuff as it's only unlocked as you get kills with it. I've spent 15-20 hours doing multiplayer, but I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of everything, because I'm only halfway through rank 11. :-\

Its definitelly better than when they steal your tank when you jump out to rep (and 95% of the time die within 20 seconds). Most of the random gunners are hurting you more by shooting 24/7 and giving away your position than actually helping you. Ahh, reminds me when you get into a 1 v 1 tank battle, the gunner (happens to be an engineer) just sits in the seat and shoot the MG at it instead of repairing or shooting rockets...

We all originally had the same reaction back then, but turned out to be harmless enough anyways.

Also, can't shoot out the drivers with the AA against the vans, coupled with less damage means that you have to spot it early enough and target it. Mortars are so fun right now, just farming the 500 kills in Rush. Getting many multi kills, and ending up on top of the scoreboard. (Yes, I know how the opposite side feels, might as well get tons of kills with no skill).

It really is hilarious. and then you say you love mortars haha! I have it, just never used it; got tips ![]()

But if the missles hit they do some good damage Most important thing is to get out of the danger zone asap. On most maps it spawns right in the deathzone so you need to be lucky to get out alive. Once you are in a good spot and your team is capable of spotting, you only need good map awareness and you can cause ridiculous havoc. Edit: Or you simply camp in your spawn...

It's the artillery unit in BF3 for Armored Kill. Missiles do hit with lots of explosive damage, but somewhat inaccurate. Usually, the artillery is in the center of the map, such as the hotel in Hainan Resort. Best map is Paracel Storm Attack (enemies tend to clump up and you can score 2-3 kills per shot if you're lucky); downside is that you're vulnerable to snipers everywhere. In general, best maps are where you can launch the mortar with something (best is natural terrain) blocking the LOS of snipers.
