It's exactly how I've pictured it, it might as well be another expansion to BF3. The game is fun as hell but I credit it mostly to the "new guns/addons" rush. I remember it being extremely fun to get new gun, grind kills/learn it to get new attachments or gadgets, learning the new maps. I had exact same feeling in BF3 vanilla, but back then the game offered so much in graphics/mechanics innovation as well. I hate to be that guy but it feels another like Fifa/Cod franchise ![]()

The vehicle gameplay is affected by a different loadoutsystem, a new disable mechanic and most important limited (slow regenerating) ammo. Im not shure yet if i really like that but its gonna change a lot how BF is played on a (semi)competitive level. Infantry AT tools have been changed and expanded too. Even the infantryplay has changed a quite a bit. Weaponattachment and gadget system has been overhauled, suppression is different and a lot of details like nerfed revives, slower sprinting, more moving and jumping spread (slower spread recovery after movement) will definitely have a influence. Like i said before im not shure if BF4 is a better or worse game than BF3 (this limited beta/demo isnt enough to tell anyways) but it shure has changed. Also AK12 is pretty amazing, might be the new AN94 with its super fast and accurate burstmode (its also a lot easier to use than AN94).

God damn you have to aim an inch above your target when its like 100 meters away. Yes, tankshells are slower and have much more drop. This will become a huge nerf to tanks on big maps especially in tank v tank fffights since limited ammo and faster tank acceleration will make it hard to kill another tank (ergo less time to kill infantry)

A bunch of small things changed: Patch.

- Squad perks: each perk is different and you no longer have the problem of brainless squad mates stacking the same perk. - Net code: the net code seems a little better compared to BF3. I live on the west coast and I played on both central and east coast to see how it is. I see a difference such as not getting killed behind walls, hit registration, etc. - Weapon customization: definitely loving how extensive it is this time around. What I don't like so far: - Recoil: maybe it's just me, but the recoil when comparing with BF3 is quite noticeable. The animation looks like the recoil is high, but seeing the muzzle and bullet streaks says otherwise. There were times that I had to empty a magazine to kill someone at medium distance. Sure, it is probably me having bad aim, net code is wonky, or whatever. - Clunky: I can play BF3 on high settings, but the beta is running kinda clunky for me. I dunno if there is something I'm missing, but I often have the problem sprinting and movement. I sometimes run into the problem of vaulting over objects and climbing up the stairs. - Weapon variety: I'm probably one of the very few that wish for class exclusive weapons. One of the things I didn't like about BF3 was how some weapons were not viable at all. Everyone runs around using the same loadout. Just what I noticed so far in my 1 hour of playing the beta. I'll probably feel different about the game the more I play, but at the moment, I'm alright with sticking to playing BF3 once in a while.

Had that game had been like bf2 with 64 player conquest and all that I might agree with you on that. I wish that they had put commander mode in the beta, really disappointed in dice for not doing that. On October 02 2013 03:35 zoLo wrote: The beta is kinda ehhhh so far for me. Battlefield 3 beta was just as bad in optimization and even worse in lag. Don't judge how you can run the game by this beta, BF3 was the same. The maps in BC2 didn't really cater to more than 32 players anyway and to be honest, anything more than 12v12 turned the game into a clusterfuck. You have to keep in mind that BC2 was probably hastily ported to PC when EA's marketing department realised that they could benefit from the "debacle" that was MW2's PC version (I put debacle between brackets because despite all the negativity, there were a ton of people playing and enjoying it). BC2 was originally intended to be a console-only release, and maps were made for 24 players. I was just incredibly disappointed by the lack of destruction in BF3. Take the market square on Grand Bazaar, for instance. In BC2, you would have been able to level every single stall and building. In BF3, those rickety wooden stalls would probably still survive a nuke. The destruction in BC2 was completely over the top but it added a lot to the gameplay as well. It assured that defenders would gradually lose cover as the game went on, which was incredibly important in Rush games. As a matter of fact, the first Bad Company was an awesome game as well. The fact that DiCE ported some of that game's best maps over to BC2 is testament to that. Harvest Day is probably my favourite Battlefield map ever due to its great balance between vehicle and infantry play.

Yeah, I know that it's a mostly complete demo outside of a major bug/balance fix. I see that they still have not fixed the tooltip on the bottom if I re-assign my hotkeys. Now I am getting the loading screen issue...whoo great beta!
