Feeling pretty similar about this one. It's an uninspired turd. They're modeling this franchise after their EAS titles, going for annual releases. Shit, they didn't even try doing a different setting, like a fully fleshed out 2142 remake. Really getting tired with how EA handles everything now. Once beta is out, go ask the ressourceful gentlemen in the computer ressource build thread. 12-1500 euro is a big budget overall, they'll know how to get the most out of it.

I agree, this is basically an upgrade over BF3 in the sense that EA was supposed to offer all of this with their statements about spectator mode and new weapons in BF3, and then backtracking those promises. I do wonder how do they plan to add even more weapons and customizations to BF4 because the reason that EA was not able to add new weapons was because of hardware limitations with the consoles.
Still on the fence about buying BF4.

With Rome 2 I actually realized that nowadays these big gaming corporations spend more money and time for propaganda and fancy videos than for the quality of the game. Pretty sad.

I get that everyone has a opinion and tastes are different but still i feel people are too negative about games and gaming industry today. What exactly is the problem with monetization structures like DLC? I mean you cant seriously expect to get new maps for free. Corporations are there to make money its completely normal. And when you look at what you get for 70 bucks (+70more for premium) its actually a very low price for the entertainment you can get out of it.
Even if you are a much less hardcore BF player than i am, lets say you play the game for 50h, its still a lot cheaper than buying a blueray or going to the cinema. Not to mention that you can spend over 2K hours on a game like Battlefield like it is in my case. BF3 is, believe it or not, a strategically very deep shooter when played in a organized competitive setting and even after all the time i put into the game i still havent figured it out completely (no one has).
To be fair some criticizm is always healthy and good (and needed) but to me it seems that gamers/customers today are rather whiny than critical, if you dont like the game fine but dont feel entitled. Yes BF4 came out 2 years after BF3 and some of EAs buisness practices are despicable but its totally unfair to say its the same game or BF3/4 is a worse game than its predecessors and its definitely not fair to say that the game its not worth the price you pay for it (unless you arent looking for a game like that at all, in wich case you just shouldnt buy it). DICE actually changed quite a lot of the gamemechanics even if the graphics look similar and im shure the game will turn out fine just like BF3 did.

BF4 has leaning. When you ADS close to a corner your character will automatically lean. Though im a bit concerned about the automatic part, bad memories come to mind when i think about bipod deployment back when it used to be automatic.

This is a good idea for anyone who isn't sure of a game.
I am buying it day 1, but I enjoy all battlefield games and if this somehow was a terrible game I would probably not buy the next one so quickly .
You can actually play the beta for free though (closed beta for bf3 premium or people who bought medal of honor) get to play october 1st, open beta starts october 4'th and it goes until october 15'th. Why not download the beta, play it, and if you like it you can get it, if you hate it don't buy it.
It's an even better option then waiting for reviews, play it yourself for free
