• PC specs are similar to the specs of BF3. No official specs list has been released. Whoop

New maps New weapons, attachments new features on maps classes are rearranged Commander mode VOIP in-game &more Can you shut the fuck up?

So please, spare this entire topic the obvious; I think everyone sees the similarities, but also enjoy the changes and additions that enhance the game. He didn't even mention Call of Duty, you did and spitefully because you think you're surprising everyone here with this incredible insight of major gaming publisher taking note of other gaming publishers! The guy above is just lying saying it's the same engine and just new maps, come on... give credit where it is due. I'm not even a huge Battlefield fan.

+ i agree on the cash cow thing, EA really trying to milk every possible drop out of this franchise. too bad, i used to play bf1942 and remember when DICE was actually scared of becoming a part of EA for exactly that reason.

The next generation of the engine, Frostbite 2, debuted with the release of Battlefield 3.[1] The creation of Frostbite 2 started the first usage of the Frostbite engine by other EA studios other than DICE. Some notable Frostbite 2 powered games include Need for Speed: The Run,[2] Medal of Honor: Warfighter,[3] and Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel.[4] A new version, Frostbite 3, will debut with Battlefield 4.[5] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frostbite_(game_engine) It's an improved engine from FB2 to FB3: What I'm hoping is that there is a higher PC spec demand for BF4.

It's honestly a goddamn travesty, but if they sincerely believe this is how business is best run it's hard to do much about it barring a fundamental change of consumer culture. However, it is also fairly obvious to me at this point that the main issues, of which there are many, in BF3 just aren't solvable unless you were to massively overhaul a bunch of engine mechanics and coding issues. Basically, halfways making a new game. There's obviously a stupidly huge amount of fluff and overexaggeration of features that likely won't have anywhere near the effect on gameplay they want people to believe. This is a given, but it gives us the option of hoping they can correct some of the utterly terrible decisions they made in the creation of BF3, and possibly add some of the features they couldn't deliver. What is then left is for us to be mad and bitch consistently about how their terrible business practice then became an excuse to leave out the majority of the marketed main features for the BF4 early Alpha(BF3), only to then introduce them as new and exciting features once again.

Other than that its a pure arcade shooter. Its not fun to shoot and do combat in this game since its so simplistic. You spawn, you run and shoot. There is no sitting down to take a breather to reduce weapon sway or carefully aiming to land a perfect shot like in the Arma games. Although Arma games have other issues, they do combat 100x better than what Battlefield 4 offers. There is also no tactical approach in this game, the maps are too small for that. So everyone is just charging points without ANY thought behind it. Thats not how warfare is guys .......... This is the first time i am staying clear from a Battlefield game, pretty crazy as ive been playing them since BF1942. Having 5 expansions ready at launch, marketing premium package to play them first, then already having planned a 6th possible expansion giving you only capture the flag mode ? This should not be an insult to you as a gamer, but as a human beeing. Please let this game fail.

Just imagine how fun BF3 or BF4 would be if every player could not respawn, à la counter-strike. It would make for a horribly boring game. Personally, I find Bad Company 2 by far the best DICE game.

And for Battlefields sake, you could have interactive stuff like rappelling through a window instead of taking a stairs (turtle avoidance), and even have like a chopper spawn outside or on roof or something that you could circle the building with, marking targets and taking shots. Obviously it wouldnt work for other modes, but I would actually enjoy that
