Yo, used to play BF3 a lot, so when this comes out. I guess we'll have something other than DotA to play lol.
As bad as I am at DotA, I am worse at FPS games though.
That aside, if I could play BF3 on high graphics settings will I have problems running this? I'm guessing probably not?

Nice haha. I am decent at BF3, but probably wont do as good now because it's been so long since i last played BF.
What devs say is that if you can play BF3, chances are you can play BF4 with the same com. For me, i play on Ultra on BF3 so I should be fine.

Just to let anyone know who has bf3 premium or pre-ordered bf4, you can pre-download the beta now.

So apparently Commander mode won't be part of the beta - unless you're a DICE employee who wants to drop in.

I wonder if my 560 Ti will die trying to run this game. I see 660 is recommended, and I know the 560 Ti is a bit below that in performance. Hopefully I can at least get medium-high with good frames. If not...off to console land I suppose.
Regardless....massive hype for Tuesday :D

If you can run BF3, which with that GPU you should depending on the rest of the setup, then it should run albeit probably not the with very high graphics settings.

560TI should be good enough if you dont get too fancy with the settings

I can't imagine if you could play BF3 at high settings that you wouldn't be able to for BF4. I mean BF4 graphics look better, but not that much better.
I am pumped for tomorrow as well :D.
Brightside I won't be working (feeling like shit) Downside is I will be feeling like shit when playing TT.

Can't wait for this!
Two updates were released for the drivers today. Found it on /r/Battlefield_4:
AMD Drivers
NVIDIA Drivers
Also if you guys want an early peek or help deciding if BF4 looks like fun, I'm streaming it tonight at 1:00 AM PST.

Pumped for BF4!!!

The game right now seems to be more like a large mappack then a new game. I preloaded it already, but I don't think I'll pay the 30$ for the game. I'll get it if its 10$ again, like I did with BF3.

I assume were allowed to stream the beta correct?

hmm well, I was in a helicopter, took down two of theirs, a couple tanks, and a few infantry, then the game crashed
also, when sniping the white tracer that comes out doesn't line up with where the bullet actually goes

Really disappointed. Its BF3 with a terrible new menu (wtf?!) and new maps... well!
|
It runs fine with everything on high/ultra that it defaulted to at steady 60 FPS+ with my 770GTX/i2600k setup. Beta driver definitely helped the performance for me.

Terrible new menu? I find the new one a lot better. And even when I'm from death screen to deployment screen I can still fiddle around with graphics now. Although the difference between the two games isn't so big, there's a lot of smaller stuff that do add up. To me it feels a lot more enjoyable. The map is really good too, until the building crashes down, then my fps also crashes down
