First one's simple. The Tower of Mzark is north of Whiterun, and is where you'd leave after finally getting the elder scroll in casual play. Because speedrunning, we normally would platter glitch through the gate of the Tower of Mzark to get to the elder scroll, but that was inconsistent and could be the death of your run ~20 minutes in. So this happy bit of glitching lets you see a tiny bit of the platform from outside without opening the gate, and is consistent to boot... so while it isn't necessarily faster, it is a hell of a lot more reliable (and saves routing a platter earlier, which saves time) Second one is a bit more complex. One of the big timesavers in Skyrim speedruns is the torch glitch. Basically, the torch is unique in its non-combat equippable status, so it allows us to glitch the animations and lock us in to perpetual sprint; As long as you don't do anything that would cause your animation to change (fall, swim, take a heavy hit) you'd keep sprinting. This video adds a bit to that, as I discovered that quicksaving / quickloading while under the effects of the torch glitch WHILE you are airborne but BEFORE your character changes to a falling animation, it locks you into sprint status regardless of animation, meaning that long falls / swimming no longer break the sprint cycle. This should allow us to "sprint" while swimming, or over survivable falls, through load zones and basically always follow the speedrunner's motto of "GOTTA GO FAST" It's also followed by me bodyslamming Hewnon Black-Skeever through a wagon before a reset, just to show how *(&@ing boss I feel. So yeah! ^_______________________^ I'm pretty proud to be coming up with new things that help make the run faster. My PB is 1:00:02.3 (bastard elusive sub-1-hour run) that clocks in at 56:59.50 no loadscreens, but I have yet to get a clean run in.

Is there more to this game than just sitting in the shop while maxing out merchant level and hoping for good RNG? I watched a couple of the fastest runs on twitch and it seems to pretty much come down to getting a good sustained price hike in week 3.

Bah, 30 minute long map goes down the drain. Also, Realm glide and Temple of Darkness rocket jump are being added into my plutonia SS UV-Speed run. So it's looking like I have a full aggressive route down. Now I just need to survive 30 levels of plutonia.

So the thing is about Tetris and clearing 40 lins in under 20 seconds. http://kotaku.com/this-incredible-20-second-tetris-game-must-be-seen-to-b-1167881897

![]() To be fair, DkS any% is kinda played out for marathons now, but I would have liked to see an all bosses run or something.

Too much potential for a reset at the beginning and its honestly a rather uneventful run for most people to watch. Plus it had its marathon fun last year and most games dont return a year later outside of exceptions like Mario/Metroid/LoZ/Pokemon/Megaman/specific NES games. It'll probably get a return to the spotlight just not right now.
