If I listed all my games for example it would be like 6 or 7. Gets a little messy.

Basically you’re a god (interacting via your dismembered floating hand), you have a (not-so-)giant creature, and you go about feeding, building, and impressing villages, plus defeating other gods by converting their villages. Notoriously difficult when released as no one knew how to play, the vast majority of people never completed half of the game. Not until you try and speedrun it, in which case it gets majorly broken. Thing is, I’ve done a good amount of work, optimization and planning for this run, but I’ve run out of steam (and time, have a job and gotta prep for Uni instead or practicing practicing to optimize my movements for a dozen-year-old computer game no one will remember or understand) so I’ve got a crisis. I want to do this game and run justice, but I don’t think I can manage it myself. I’ve never been involved with actually running games, although I’ve enjoyed many a run on SDA (Deus Ex1 being my favourite), so I don’t know how to start a thread and get the word around if anyone wants to collaborate. Plus I don’t really know how to set up recording, or how I’d upload it, how their “no cheating guarantee” refereeing system works etc. Newbie here. So, I’d be open to collaboration, but I really doubt I’ll find anyone else remotely passionate about this game anymore. About the run. + Show Spoiler [You probably won’t understand any of t…] + Here are the pretty big game-changers and discoveries, some well-known, some I’ve made. 1. This isn’t going to be a ‘Good God’ run ): By far the fastest way to capture a village is to kill all the inhabitants, which resets the belief requirements (you have to impress them a certain amount to capture), then repopulating slightly and impressing easily. 2. Most land’s victory conditions can be short-circuited by just destroying the opponent’s temple. Every time their temple is damaged, it heals itself by taking HP from village buildings and eventually villager’s lives. Highly evil, yet highly efficient way to kill everyone. Usually you win by converting all the villages, but if the village is completely desolate of life... 3. You can only do actions within a certain radius of your domain, your radius of influence, this prevents you from say, stealing all your opponent’s food, since you can’t reach them. The only way to extend influence is impressing your villages, capturing other villages, or planting size-5 town-centre scaffolds. Usually you can only dip outside your influence for a short time, not long enough to plant scaffolds far, so you’d have to leapfrog. 4. You can slow down time, pick up something, pause, move somewhere without influence, quickly unpause, and drop what you were holding. This is used to break the game. While you could drop flaming rocks on their temple, it gets better. 5. My biggest discovery was that you can arbitrarily proxy town centres anywhere. If you pause glitched a size-5 building scaffold to an area you have no influence (i.e. right outside their temple) it wouldn’t build. But if you glitch a size-4 field scaffold, then glitch another one onto it (warning, math!) 4+1=5 it will build! This way you can mercilessly pound away at their temple and kill them as fast as is possible. 6. In certain circumstances killing the temple won’t work, and you have to have influence near the village to kill/repopulate. Now use proxy TCs and lots of lightning (exception is Land 3, where by throwing around a specific NPC you can have a local region of influence). 7. I use unpatched version as it lets me economize (exploit) wood and food miracle seeds. I also steal food and wood when possible, and particularly steal Kazahar’s scaffolds. To give you an indication of how abusive and quick this skips through the lands, you can complete a land before even constructing your temple, and I harvest one-shot miracle seeds from the first land which I carry through all the way to the last (5th). My creature sadly never learns anything as there’s too little time, I win before he’s even big enough to pick up a miracle seed (~4 hours currently). Things that need doing: Finding skips for tutorial sequences, quest descriptions and cutscenes. I never actually considered eating Sable so I’ll try that. Currently I skip most things like Kazahar’s tutorials, since I steal his (food, wood and) scaffolds, so I win the land faster than he has time to explain things. Plus if you do it right you never have to build a workshop in the entire game, as you get them (stack to 5) from (both of) Kazahars and carry them through. Ways to speed up the 3 fights (Guide, Sleg Land 4, Final). I could possibly cast lightning on their creature while managing to not hit mine, tricky though. I was considering working out my creature with stones, but its tricky to micro. Way to make an artefact. With one artefact you can win the game, but you need enough idle worshippers and 3 nights, neither of which I ever have. I get particularly stuck for Lands 4 and 5. Land 4, I can’t afford to kill all the Japanese then repopulate since my main town is so devoid of villagers too. Land 5 having an artefact would greatly help capture the Tibetan village, since I have no time to train my creature how to do so, but no time for artefacts either... I’m currently in the process of timing things out and seeing how few miracle seeds I can survive off of. Plus the question of completely neglect village vs. Build it a bit so their idleness can make artefacts. So I’ll be very glad for any positive response.

Tricks and Glitches I plan on using: Pause glitch to drop things where I’m not allowed Proxying Town Centres via pause glitch Feeding wood, then stealing lots of scaffolds from Kazahar (never have to build my own) Quick tapping resource miracles to use one seed for loads of casts Quick tapping to economize lightning miracles, 1 to kill a whole village [: Using the throwable villager in Land3 instead of proxying (the other lands you can content yourself with killing the temple, but since two of the villages in L3 aren’t owned by Lethys killing his temple doesn’t kill them, so you have to do them manually) Good route planning, optimization, bookmark cycling etc. So yeah I wish I could use the creature, kinda like a “no hands” run where you train the creature, then he goes and converts everything. Problem being, half the time you don’t have access to him, and whenever you’re in enemy territory they never stop trying to kill him asap. You could prevent this by sniping their town centres (dropping a flaming rock, since they can’t get mana if their town’s under attack) but that needs fireballs, and I don’t have a reliable fast source of fireballs until L5. I’d also like to do a run where it’s a bit more fair to the game, and less wanton carnage, a “Be Good” run. But that’d basically consist of making a couple artefacts and spamming them to victory, it’d take a bit longer and be less action-packed.
