The EB mod for Rome was ridiculously good and responsible for a lot of my positive feelings about the game but we probably won't be able to see a mod like that for this one. I have no idea if what you said is true or not, but I am gonna take your word for it and say that it sucks =/. I only used darthmod so, no clue. But I am gonna say that at least shogun 2 introduced multiplayer campaign so that easily makes up for it.

I personally see TCA as creating a skeleton game, on which the modders vastly improve later on. Take Rome I and MTW II for instance. The mods they made (and are developing even now, so many years after the release). It's the community that keeps the games alive, the developer only really provides the code =) I'm really glad they got rid of the "bumrush the plaza" mechanic. That's really what makes sieges boring after a while.

Templar I'd agree with you about S2TW but RTW, M2TW those were pretty damn grand. I got a little chill while watching the video. I'm going to kick so much ass at R2TW.

That being said, it looks amazing. However, I was a little disappointed that the battle AI didn't look much better than previous games. I suppose there's not much you can do to make a game battle look 'organic', but it's always a little immersion breaking to see 2 guys hop out of a siege vehicle ahead of everyone else and not be immediately mowed down; instead, the soldiers behind them stand at guard while they fight pretty much 1 on 1. Maybe I expect to much -_-
