Let's hope that they randomly decide to become modder friendly now and there might be a decent chance that this game doesn't end like a scam product.

Because those are game-ruining problems in my eyes.

Hope they learned and won't relase more alpha versions of future Total War games, especially considering that there is a chance for Warhammer Total War, which would be awsome if it was done right. considering I've said the same three times before, I won't ever buy another total war game until it is down to a budget version (meaning patched to be playable).

Give it a try, its as good as it will ever be able to get without better mod support (not happening). Its still not immersive like the older games, but its quite fun. Europa Barbarorum 2 is now out for Medieval 2. Play that instead, its fucking incredible and its only a beta release.

EB1 is one of my favorite strategy games ever, the depth (both gameplay / historical) is just mindblowing. I am really excited to play it on the MTW2 engine (I imagine there are still CTD issues though? I ran into tons of them on Stainless Steel mod)

Ehh, don't know why they would do that in this game, since it wasnt like that in the others. Infact you got new family members from battles sometimes. That seems like a really dumb change

(I think I played Pahlava, Epirus, KH mostly in the old game) also is EB2 still balanced for medium battle difficulty or is another difficulty recommended? I think it tells in the description for the factions which ones are easier/harder SPQR(Rome) looks to be done though. I'd try it perhaps

I actually really liek the Rome period, but i like the Medieval 2 period alot more, since it goes from sword era -> gun era. Even though using guns is frustrating as fuck

Tbh, i was hoping that a FotS-like expansion would fix rome 2's problems like it did with shogun 2's,(admittedly, vanilla shogun 2 had less problems tho) and with the Emperor Edition being a decentish fix, i'm hoping Total War:Attila is more of an attachment to rome2(and if a standalone, patches it to the same standard?) rather than a game going the Napoleon:Total War route...... then again, i hope Sega won't ruin this expansion/game too T_T ps. was this the release announcement CA was hyping? A lot of people thought CA wanted to unveil a new total war game, likely set in the warhammer world, is there still a pending announcement or Attila was the announcement? Sources
