So Beasts of War DLC just came out. Turns out that the units you pay for were fully working long before the release of the game, they just got cut for DLC. There's footage in alpha of the units.

I'm really beginning to despise the whole Total War team over this game.

so i bought the humble bundle with civ5 and some other games and though i prefer the total war games in general, civ5 is so much better than rome 2. like infinitely better. the game is still buggy, and the fact that they're flooding us with dlc is pretty disgusting. i'd like some free new units now and then. that would be nice.
i dont even know. i've given up on rome 2 by now, also because they apparently do not intend to add features like family trees. the game has it's moments, but especially towards the lategame managements gets so annoying and boring. i especially hate that no AI faction ever gets big. i have not met an enemy who was on more than 2 full provinces.

In my latest game I must admit that a handful of factions have actually surprised me with how huge they became before I could know off it. Athens, Averni, Pontus, Seleucid are all 15-20 territories locked down with big armies/fleets. Certainly different from the games I've played earlier.

I've seen modders experiment with removing forced march, which makes the AI behave better and more able to put out a fight and expand.

Biggest grip right now for remains sieges.

They are so insanely broken... and since it has been the case in every TW game it reeks incompetence at this point. At least in shogun 2 the assaulter could ignore doors and just climb up. But right now the ennemy will just abandon siege tower and rush a single door to burn it down. Forming a big blob trying to get through this narrow passage.
Just put spear on the other side and missile above and just go make a coffee or alt+tab.

I've had a fight losing 300 people killing 5000 that were just massed in front of a door. Sadly though this is boring I cannot auto-resolve it since I was declared loser by the calculator for some reason.
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

You only lose if you don't let the enemy A.I. win it for you.

The calculator is probably doing your standard Rome 1 tactics of planting shit on walls and then never moving it.
Limited Edition, lets do some simple addition, $50 for a T-Shirt is just some ignorant bitch shit.

i'm visiting twcenter.net from time to time to check if game became more modable , nothing appears. Maybe 1 year from now or so thats gonna change. We will see, i think atm with mods , its decent experience, but not enought for my taste anymore.

It's possible that a lot of folks are putting them directly on in the Steam Workshop and bypassing TWCenter entirely. Everyone has to play via Steam; not everyone is on TWC.

I was playing a campaign recently, but I reached a point where there was a battle I felt I had to play out myself and wouldn't be able to win with autoresolve, only it's bugged and crashes at a specific point every time I tried.

I stopped playing a while ago. The AI just makes it a chore. 1 city factions running around with 3 full stacks in constant reinforce range of each other isn't something im willing to grind through over and over again.

I think it's good with DEI.

Biggest problem remains sieges of course.

I had this exact same argument with somebody here. I said I would rather fight a few larger factions than go through so many 1-province factions. I said CA went too far with their anti-snowball mechanics. He was claiming that it added extra challenge. It's more like extra tedium going through so many 1 city factions with 3 full stacks. Autocalc drastically favors the 3 full stacks that I'm forced to fight them manually or risk losing or having too many casualties. It's just ridiculously tedious.
