I have never in my entire life understood people that share something, and then don't actually share it.

What do those phrases mean? How would they be useful for other players playing on JP servers?
We have multiple brackets generated in advance. Relax . (Kennigit) I just simply do not understand how it can be the time to play can be 22nd at 9:30 pm PST / midnight the 23rd at the same time. (GGzerg)

I was operating under the assumption that people would A. have heard these before from playing FFXI, or B. Open a new tab and google it. It took you more effort to post negatively than it would to google the translation. Jesus.

"My Japanese is not good."
(Something about) "mistakes".

I agree, though, why post this to an English forum then expect people to understand it, and even more so you are willing to write a post in retaliation to him bringing it up YET still not tell him what it means (and you mention that in the time he wrote the post he could have looked it up, yet in the time you wrote both your posts you could have just told him, hypocrisy be damned, huh).

The last one is "If there are mistakes, don't be surprised."

Is there anyone from EU playing on the Japanese servers? Is the ping terrible or is it playable enough?

Since apparently even the EU servers are in the US, I might very well go for a JPN server myself, if it's comparable.

Hey guys, id like to play this game, but when i try to buy it, its telling me they cant sell anymore, because of server capacity issues, or something of the like. Am i the only one who thinks that's completely ridiculous? Is there any ETA to when purchasing will be available again? Kind of disheartening.

You can still buy it retail, if you find it in a store somewhere. From what I know, there's still no date set for when digital downloads will resume (though I've seen 12th september thrown around).

Anyways, thx for the response, will keep looking, hopefully they dont sit on this for to long.

They'll stop selling the digital downloads for awhile. Best bet like someone has mentioned is to try local game stores. Although they've almost implemented restrictions on character selections too. They are working on it so yeah. It sucks but it's well worth it imo.

I'm from Australia and play on JP servers. They recently did server upgrades so I now ping 160ish but there is still delay/lag due to Aussie internet/JP servers not being optimal poor load balancing among other issues.
But it's still amazing. After awhile you just get used to it. Only downside is if you don't speak Japanese haha.

Yup, I'm in the same situation myself, it's sold out everywhere even though we have a ton of stores in my city... It's a very surprising move by SquareEnix, though I personally can't help but respect them because of the massive balls they have in more or less saying "We don't care if we lose a lot of sales, our current customers are our main priority".

So, getting Mining/Botany/Fishing/Goldsmithing/Culinarian/Leatherworker/Weaver/Alchemist all to 50 and analyzing the hell out of the market and game isn't enough research for you? Good to know.

There's two key issues. The first is that through adventuring and grinding you don't get much money in terms of how much you ideally want to spend to get good stuff (especially potions and food). So what is everyone saying? "You need to gather or craft!"

So let's assume this is true. Everyone starts to gather or craft. Now the server is filled with thousands of crafters. Oh great Economics 101 god, what is wrong with this? OMG Supply and Demand, you're RIGHT!

Not to mention, how many things I have to 50 just goes to show how easy it is to become a "master crafter," which in any real economy, the more people you share a skill with, the lower your chances of profiting off of it.

Any use of Roomaji (romanization of Japanese) pretty much says "I am shit at Japanese."

Speaking of which, the other day I was mining and I was really bored (no surprise there), so I decided to chat up somebody with a Japanese name, trying to pretend that I couldn't speak English, using auto-translate and typing in Japanese.

Well, turns out that she was a Korean student studying abroad in New York and her English wasn't that much better either, lol. But at least I made a friend that day, lol.

I've had no issues with money. Learn to play. You get easily 325k on your first character to 50. Guildhests give out an enormous amount of gold for first completions of the day. And don't use the whole "I don't want to waste my leve on that." That's your own choice. There's money to be made in this game. '

Edit: "Thousands of crafters" lol you're fucking hilarious. Take a look at how many level 50 gatherers there are. it's about 5. Nobody has leveled up gathering, and even crafters at level 50 are low in number.

Cool story bro. People win the lottery and go broke too. Sustaining income is a whole different story.

And yes, crafters are low right now, hence why my character is logged with 930k. However, I abused the pet market, and now, nothing worth making sells for the right amount. Talk to ANY of those 50 crafters and ask 'em how the income is coming along.
