pretty on point and dodge basically everything. You probably have less than .5 seconds of leniency before you get hit with a move that knocks you off the stage, as well as eruptions that do ~2800 to casters. This is mostly a mechanical fight where you must dodge everything as dps, and tanks must time cds or risk get hit with ~4.5k damage from titan, and healers must be able to heal aoe damage that hits for ~700 every second for 6 seconds after the whole raid getting hit for ~2k. Theres also a dps race to stop from getting hard enraged and having the party 1 shot. You also must run around dodging bombs while the arena becomes smaller as the fight progresses as well as titan's knock off move. A pretty nicely designed fight. And this is just he lvl 60 version of the titan fight, Coil of bahamut is much more difficult, as even legacy players with decked out gear are having some issue with them. I think this game so far is surpassing my expectations, although personally i dont think the content is "hard" yet. But there is still a couple of instances i havent cleared, as well as extreme versions of the primal fights. I think the end game is pretty good, and i would recommend it to anyone that likes endgame raiding.

Why do you start the game with 1 combat skill when even simplistic console games made for "mass market appeal" demand their players to use a controller with 30 buttons? Why do they assume that you're too dumb to use more than 3 combat skills even after playing for 90+ minutes? Why are all the combat skills nearly the same? Why do they assume you're too dumb to survive a combat encounter with an enemy unless the enemy is only capable of taking 5% of your health off, maximum, before dying to your auto-attack? Why do random NPCs ask you to deliver random crap to other random NPCs and why does Square believe this qualifies as fun gameplay? Why does Square believe that you're too stupid and/or too lazy to explore the city on your own without silly fedex quests directing your every move? Why does there seem to be not a single designer in the MMORPG space who is willing to use their brain instead of just copying the formula?

There are a lot of complaints to be found about this game (and, well, every other MMO), that I also find pretty damn frustrating. I've yet to find one that really has it all figured out. That being said, making angry I-hate-the-world posts is just silly. Most of the things he's bitched about literally every other MMO does. However, this game is still fun for me, if it hit the point where I was as frustrated as he seems to be, it's a no-brainer to move on to another game, lol. I sure wish I was in a position where I could make it so some of those valid complaints could be fixed, though.

When I ping their data centers in cmd.exe I get about 115, but in game i'm seeing it average between 200-400 and sometimes it goes up to 500-600 (assuming the "sending" number when I hover over the internet icon accurately represents ping). I'm playing on Behemoth with a fios 100/100 connection in Sweden so it seems a bit odd, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe there's some firewall/router issue at hand. that is the number of packets you are sending and receiving.

Is it likely I'll be able to create a character and play today if I get it? I would wait on the download copy (since it's very existence would imply a stable FFXIV) except I CAN'T WAIT WANT TO PLAY GAME NAOOO. If there's any answer to this someone else, link plssssss. Thanks! I think if you get a physical copy you can create a character on SOME servers now. Most populated servers are still locked so if you have someone you plan to play with you might want check with them to see character creation status. BTW, this is the my Crafting equipment optimized build, if anyone interested: This build has 347 craft 338 control 336 CP (50** require 347 craft 318 control) Pro: No Rank 4 Materias used so you can save those for i70 HQ you will make! No job specific forbidden meld except on off hand tool, minimize all the firework and explosion. + Show Spoiler + (Materia # indicates rank, red are forbidden melds) Main: 50 Quest Off: HQ Militia (Craft 3, Craft 3) Head: HQ Job Specific (Control 3, Control 2) Body: HQ Job Specific (Craft 3, Craft 3) Hands: HQ Job Specific (Control 3, Control 2) Belt: HQ Raptorskin Merchant's Purse (CP 3, Craft 1) Leg: HQ Job Specific (Control 3, Control 2) Feet: HQ Job Specific (Control 3, Control 2) Neck: HQ Electrum Choker (Control 3, CP 3, Craft 1) Ear: HQ Red Coral Earrings (Control 3, CP 3, Craft 1) Wrist: HQ Militia Wristlets (Control 3, CP 3, CP 3) Ring 1: HQ Aetheryte Ring (Control 3, CP 3, Craft 1) Ring 2: HQ Aetheryte Ring (Control 3, CP 3, Craft 1) Note: It is possible to craft 50** with only single Off Hand forbidden, just need to meld [Craft 1] on all the pieces that has it last. You can start off this way and add extra Materias as you go. This is what I did but it does not give best value since you will be blowing up rank 3s with 19% success rate rather than rank 1. Alternatively, you can gain 3 more Control by using [Control 4] on Wrist and both Rings, I didn't think the 3 extra point worth the investment of rank 4 Materias but it might help push a couple more HQ out.

"Why is my level 1 character not a master dragoon?" "Why is my level 3 character not a master dragoon?" I really don't even have a comment for this one. I wasn't aware different animations, different potency, and different debuffs meant skills are the same. "Why don't level 3 mobs put me in mortal danger even though I just complained that I should be a master dragoon at level 3" "Why are NPC's like people and ask you to do things for them?" "Why is SE giving me xp to explore?" "Why haven't I made an MMO because I have so many amazing ideas."

"Why is SE giving me xp to explore?" "Why haven't I made an MMO because I have so many amazing ideas." Super weak counter arguments. Just because a game has a story doesn't mean it has to push it down your throat, which is why most games let you skip cutscenes if you aren't interested. Most games don't literally lock you down to ONE skill in an RPG at the start just because you're level 1, some RPGs even manages to make low levels interesting, which ties into your second counter: Just because you're low level doesn't mean the game has to be mindbogglingly easy. NPCs are not like people in the slightest, that's a dumb comment. He's not complaining about exploration exp, he's complaining about boring quests which only goal is to force you to explore... which doesn't make exploring fun, it makes it a chore. The last comment is valid though.

Majority of the players need to be held hands through early stuff. Those are not kind of people commenting here but they are the core of SE's sale and sub numbers.
