in fact you are kinda ''outside the real game'' until you finish the quest line from the city you have pick , they usually finish at level 15 when you leave the place flying using one airship , these take a lot of time and will sure hurt this game , at level 15 you can also start to switch class , more option come after some time too , you can use materia later , magiteck later , get a house , a pet ( chocobo ) open free company and join team of adventurer ( that not guild but alliance ) , you can also start to get mission as a mercenary ...... and many more stuft THEY SHOULD HAVE SAY BEFORE because no one will know such features ...... one of my friend just droped the game at level 10.... then because of me he played 4 more hours and he tell me now he realy happy and will subs for ''one year for sure now'' so you can guess this will hurts them alot !! in fact what he like the most are the follow : at level 15 you open new class , in fact in this game you can pick all the class and level them up the way you want in this game , and you find many subs class who require for exemple ''level 15 and level 30 from one other one and you become for exemple a ''monk'' lancer can become ''dragoon'' , black mage , ect , and of course if you level other class you are allowed to pick 1 to 10 skill from the class you have level up ( more unlock when you level up other class , you start at only 1 skill ) so you can pretty much do anything you want when it come to class and combo , for exemple i was playing a pugilist last night and unlocked one skill who ''heal'' my life , just switched back to my main class after and my other class was way better after that !! honestly this system REALY REALY FUN . for the battle system and skill you will start get many skill who are outside the 2.50 sec coldown when you unlock the other class , and the game get realy more fast the more you level , they are a big ''tacticals choise'' from what skill and rotation you use at some point and you will feal the game kinda ''fast'' with only the 2.50 sec coldown , some skill need to be used before or after other one and in some situation , you need some buff from one other skill , the monster do something and you can use one skill and much more , so dont worry for that , and the 2.50 kinda give the fealing you are NOT smashing the keyboard like a retard and feal a litle like a tacticals game or a ''rpg'' , people who are smart and play starcraft can distance themselve from bad player easy , you realy got a skill fealing in this game. the crafting gear are also on par with what you get in instance ( first game im seeing that , the dev say he want crafting to matter and just not become useless when people get gears from instance .... that amazing but im more of the type of guy who like gears drop but if you are into crafting you will love it !! and the crafting system kinda like vanguard but again , you will not see it at first.... ff14 was realy BAD in fact the worst mmorpg ever , yoshi did a amazing job with a realm reborn , that realy not the game game , that not just some update guy , they have rework and changed even the engine , 99 % of the people who hated the first version love the new one... so if you are this kind of guy try a realm reborn you will be surprised !! was thinking at first to play ff14 ar just for fun before eso or wildstar or everquest next but after playing im actualy changing my mind , that now my main game . im happy to have stick with this one , im going to subs and that probably my last mmorpg , im planing to play it for year to come , for resume this game realy amazing but you need to play alot of time ... this will hurt them , mark my word . also the fact they are coming from a realy bad game version . ps: just want to say the game got many other features im curently only level 20..... just unlocked the option to change the colors of my armors last day and someone was talking about course of chocobo at higher level ''gold saucer'' you can play in a arena too and become the best , pvp warfront to hit the game soon after release too , the dev say it will be 3 way battle from the 3 big factions , , they are live not instance , but of course they got the usual pvp instance too . just got 2 ''materia'' drop at level 18 from the first instance and some gears im starting to get since 3 level got some slots but i dont know more about that yet , they say freaking nothing , but it do look amazing . and from the people who say this game easy , it gets a lot harder , the dev is from the final fantasy game and he says in an interview the end game will be just ... ''Right kill the player'' and you will rage , he aims to make it really hard , and so far the game kinda get more hard the more you level , honestly I'm dying way more that any other game so far and I'm usually never dying in any mmorpg ..... , one of my quest for example if I was hit just ''one time'' from a range attack skill , i was dead . This was kinda not easy honestly , was fighting like 30 mobs with one ''alpha one'' if he hit you only one time you die. give it a try guy !! you will thank me later !!

The reason it's not on 360 is that xbox live does not allow cross platform share server. BOOOO 3012... Well better now than later I guess, and I could use a break after last couple of days.

I had a level 20+~ Ranger during phase 2 but obviously that was wiped, haven't really touched it much since so I can't say i've experienced anything high-end Official forums are down, but from the last live Letter from the Producer, they said add-on API is about 8 months out from release. There are some grating flaws in the UI that weren't problems in previous beta phases, so hopefully that stuff is fixed at launch. As with other contemporary MMORPGs, bosses tend to just announce shit where you'd normally find raid warning-type text.

Bad point of the game so far: - The story is so boring and most of the time the cutscene, there is no voice, you have to read text like in 1999 (compared to GW2 the cutscene are awesome with good voices actors) -The quest are boring too (Most of the time you have to select massive amount of quest before doing one because sometimes 1 quest ask you to slay 3 bugs and the others ask you to slay 5 bugs and bring back their items, so ya if you dont want to slay 8 bugs instead of 5 you have to take multiple quests) -The crafting are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to make, its take hours (once again compared to GW2) -So many bugs with servers and we are at only 1 week from the game to launch.... -Hearing from the disaster of 1.0, its scary seeing all those bugs at 1 week of the launch. Good point: -Dungeon are okay i guess -Duty Finder are fun too -Having many class and mixing skills is fun -Graphics are good i guess -its a new game so there is a lot of new things to discovers I predict game site like IGN and GAMESPOT are gonna give this game a score between 7 and 7.5 out of 10. P.S. i have only played GW2 in the mmorpg gender so this is my opinion has a new player in the mmo. Btw sorry for my bad English this isnt my main language.

So far the only negatives I've come across on my 15 arcanist are...1. I can't play the game. 2. The "tutorial" was extremely long and consisted mostly of just talking to npcs. I think it will make a bad first impression on lots of players. Other than that I was very addicted to the game and enjoyed my time playing it. I just wish I could...actually play it.

Quite funny considering 90% of the people who played GW2 hated it because it didn't live up to anything it said it would do.

At 1.0 launch everything require 6 material and 5 of them require 6 more parts that actually require same and if not higher level in other craft to make. Even when all craft level 50, some high level armor require 30-40 different sync to make, and at much higher failure rate than currently. I'm happy if gamespot give it 7+, consider initial release got anywhere between 2 to 4 out of 10 lol. I just took my arcanist to 20 before getting 3102ed, but have to say I enjoyed it alot (50% exp bonus comes in handy). between FATE, guildleve, hunting log and random quest, it was a pretty pleasant experience. The 3 dungeons are decent though pretty dumbed down. I'm not too worried about that as dungeons and instanced boss were one that that initial release actually did very well.

The thing that turn me off most about initial release is all the RNG grind hell (100 run a week, a few month straight), we will see.

I love Final Fantasy, and playing with my friends is cool, I like the classes and the class system. Endgame will decide it for me, but I've had a good weekend.

I think the thing that makes it enjoyable is the simplicity of all the game systems which give you a lot more choice than you'll find in most mmo's which tend to be quest or grind. FATEs are like better rifts, leves are a good change of pace (especially finding sick gear in the treasure chests) and the ability to change to another class and run around mining for a couple of hours is really flexible. My only concern was the endgame but now that i've read up on what will be available i'm super excited for the PvE. My one tiny gripe is that i'm quite into PvP normally, because my schedule doesn't really allow me to do hardcore PvE in the evenings. Since final fantasy mmo's are mostly PvE based it looks like PvP will be a small focus of the game but nonetheless i'm definitely planning to stick with this for the foreseeable future.

I have had a lot of fun in the beta this week-end, but I have not even looked at crafting, so I have no idea what it's like
