A whole lot of neat updates to the game. God select screen looks sweet . Beginning of custom voice packs, sick new Ra remodel, and spectate your friends!
The casual game types they've introduced are a blast. My wife and I play them all the time. ARAM mode and a brawling arena match. I love this game, and being able to play in a more casual environment makes it a really positive experience most matches. Only occasionally do you get the really obnoxious guy giving orders and complaining/raging. Just go in with the goal being [Fun] rather than [Win] and you'll enjoy it!
Downloaded today, Requizen in game. Seems pretty fun so far, controls are a bit awkward to get used to. In WoW, I just used my mouse for all my movement, so I'm not used to using 1234 for abilites while also WASD for movement.

Would anyone be interested in watching someone more or less completely new to Smite stream? I'm thinking about streaming my leveling and learning adventures because I'm having so much fun with pretty much every god I play.
Man I've really been contemplating a MOBA to get into and this one looks great but I just don't have the time right now. Being employed again sucks in that way. BUT I will probably just say fuck it and sacrifice hours of precious sleep to try this one out.
What do people who have played DOTA 2 and LoL think about this game? Pros and cons?
The game is fun. As opposed to the isometric view of Dota or LoL, you actually feel like you're in the action rather than just issuing orders. Fights feel much more tense, in my opinion, and with everything being a skillshot and requiring a modicum of skill to use, you can more tell the difference between someone who is fed and someone who is actually decent.
That said, it still has a moba community. People rage, people quit, people feed. But, honestly it feels like there's less in this one, maybe because of the smaller beta community.
Coming from a League background, the kits feel a lot more fun. LoL is kind of getting homogenized in a lot of ways, and a lot of kits are getting dumbed down or nerfed for the sake of "antifun". There's a lot of cool, strong abilities in Smite that make you feel super strong and cool when you use them correctly.

I think it'd be nice if Smite got its own General Chat, maybe if there was a mod interested? I think it has a lot of potential for an up and coming game.
