Iron Golem is actually one of the easier bosses in the game.

He's even more of a joke when you realize that there is a NPC you can summon who will tank the entire fight for you like a BAUS. Iron Tarkus forever. If only he was available for some other bosses (Knight Artorias for example @_@)
Just wait for Artorias to do that giant leap attack thing or the one where he dashes at you for a stab, then just roll dodge, get a hit off and back away and repeat.
And go 2-handed heroic charge on his ass if he attempts to power up.

Allow me to help you.
Find a small shield (Target Shield or any Round Shield, I think), then stand directly in front of him and parry/riposte the shit out of him over and over and over. EZ-PZ. The small shield widens your parry window, and his animation for the 2H overhand swing and the 1H swing are HUGE. There are videos on youtube if you need to see the exact times, but the rule of thumb is when he's 2H right as the big club comes up off his shoulder and is headed toward you, for the 1H its about similar.
His parry window is huge and with the bonus from the smaller shield you should be able to figure it out in a few tries. With that you can easily do it the first time you go through the burg with awful weapons (no drake sword needed) this way.

This doesn't seem to have any effect. My mouse wasn't twitchy to start with.
The KB controls remain poor. I just need to find an Xbox controlled adapter I spose.

You can make some adjustments with the fix, but controller is recommended anyway. I got a cheap one for like 10-15 bucks because I couldn't afford anything more. Not the best controller, but it works well enough, don't use it for many games anyway.

The FPS fix could flag you for a ban because the FPS fix is basically a speed hack.
You are running the game at half speed twice as fast.
It's not very good anyway. It doesnt raise the cap from 30. It simply raises the framerate to 60. If you drop one frame it crashes right back down to 30 and it stays there for a long time. ALSO while the system goes from 30 to 60 and back the action will stutter because the renderer has to readjust everything, Play the game at double the speed but half the framerate, and then back up to 60.
