Some enemies have really iffy hitboxes IMO like those giant guards @ Anor Londo, even if I'm CLEARLY slashing their ankles which is in no way covered by their shield, the game often disagrees with me.
Also, hitting smaller enemies like the early game dogs and skeletons while they're jumping away from you also seems to be completely ineffective, it's like they temporarily phase through another plane of existance or something.
And no, I'm not playing a pirate version.
Overall though, yes, the hitboxes are usually very accurate.

in anor londo it is important what attack move you do, only attacks from the left side can hit those giant guardians from the front

It's like the players dodge, there are a bunch of frames where the enemies are invulnurable during the dodge. Very obvious with the big dogs in the depths by the butcher if you use a stabbing weapon, like uchigatana heavy attack.

I suggest finding yourself a fog ring.

+ Show Spoiler +Another thing you can do is just run up to the one on the right and make him draw his sword. After that if you run back down the bridge to where the other archer can't shoot you he will fall off on his own. You can repeat that with the second archer too if you need to.

The giants just sort of block most everything from the front, especially if your slash looks like its aimed at the leg but starts from right to left like most attacks, then it hits the shield first. As for the dogs and skeletons, are you really complaining when an enemy that is trying to dodge your attack, dodges your attack? You can still hit the dogs easily if your weapon has decent reach with a horizontal swipe, and often get the bonus damage from interrupting too. The skeletons usually jump backwards though and will only get hit by really long range weapons like the zweihander, but they too can still be hit while jumping.

Flip ring is another alternative to fog for not getting hit, Really though, you can hear the arrow launch and see it on screen with amazing collision detection. Just roll underneath then run directly to the right archer. You don't have to kill the one on the left and you can kick the guy off pretty easily. Don't try to block a final arrow without your back to the wall.
Poison arrows work...slowly...
I personally hate those 3 demon cocksuckers more. Their spear range can be annoying depending on the swing of your weapon.
I wish the upgrade was available on ps3 !_!

game complete! i think i never felt more ballsy after beating a (mostly) single player game. did a little ng+, but i think the fact i wont get any better items kills it for me.

I've never been big on ng+ either. i much prefer to just create new chars endlessly tbh... What you said is not exactly true because there are still some items that are only available in ng+ and beyond. I also wonder if you cleared all the optional zones and how thorough you were. I've played through countless times and i still find new items, npcss, secrets, etc .. This combined with unlimited build diversity really makes for great replay value. :D

LOL good luck kicking the silver dragon slayer knights off the edge. no chance. You will have to parry him and ideally your riposte sends him off the ledge. If not, it should only be another hit or two.

Guys, I don't actually have any problems with them, I just raged because I died in a silly way. I was standing behind the first pillar, and an arrow hit me through the wall, and I fell down

Why is there no summon signs before Artorias?:| The dude is killing me, manage to get him down to 1/4 health, but one tiny dodge error and it's done. Goddamit:|
Right now I'm stuck in DLC area, one path leads to area where dragon one shots me, and the other path is to Artorias.

I made a big mistake trying to do demon firelands after the spider boss instead of looping back and going up the elevator.
I was like holy shit this game scales wacky, everything pretty doable easy, suddenly small path with 7 capra demons.. and 5-6 Giant minotaur things... well ok.. let's give it a go..
No go. NO GO.
At least I know what I have coming up...

Holy shit, there is a arena system in the dlc area?! Hell yeah.
I managed to get a summon, Artorias was pretty easy 2v1

so how is the gravelord covenant? i was thinking of joining them, but i don't know how well i can get into PvP with them
