75 euros for me is like 100 dollars instead of the 70 it's supposed to cost. Damn you Anet for advertising dollars until the last moment :/ Can any americans update on this? Are you paying 55 or 75 etc DOLLARS for the game? If so I am definetely just gonna use a VPN located in usa or something.

I save around 13$ maybe even more if I buy it in dollars instead of euros.
Edit* Them bastards!! When you try and buy from US version, under countries they have left out all european ones.. Edit** Appearentely the accounts are also region locked, but not to which servers you want to connect to just where you connect FROM. Meaning if you go usa you can't play on your gw2 account.

Just buy the regular version instead. if you want to help out the guild you can buy gems ingame anyways and Spirit Wolves cannot be used in PvP, so there is no real need for them.
Also, Paypal screwed me over so I will not be able to pre-order till tonight.

It won't let me link it to my guild wars account, what is it excactly that you need to type in? Is it your ncsoft master account? Guild wars account? The <username>@ncsoft one? It doesn't say, I do not have eye of the north yet however, but you'd think it would at least not give me that I typed wrong username/password.
Edit* Screw it, just made a new account instead name is Molay.1962 And now I just noticed I couldve gotten deluxe edition cheaper than what I had to pay for standard from official website...lovely.

Was planning on pre-purchasing to get beta but just watched some videos. This game is basically another WoW clone except levelling doesn't matter at all because you can do any content at level 1? Is there any point in getting this game if you don't like wow/warhammer/rift-style mmo's?

You said it yourself. If you don't like World of Warcraft, Rift or Warhammer, then you should definitely get Guild Wars 2.
I'm not quite sure what you've seen.

In what way did you find them similar?

Same classes, same quests, same spammable abilities. You walk up to a mob, spam your keys and watch it die. Then you go to the next mob. Then you finish your quest and level up (pointlessly?). It even has instances that look and work exactly the same as they do in every other mmo game. I don't really see what's so different with this game, and please don't give me the "NO CLASSES/ROLES" bs cause we all know that's not true.
Basically I *don't* want a game where you mindlessly go around killing mobs, but I would like PvE/PvP where your skill actually does matter and where you can't just mash your buttons to kill any mob/player.

The classes are not the same, some of the names might be, but the classes each represent a new generation of MMORPG. You do NOT "spam" your keys. There are no "quests" in Guild Wars 2. You go where ever you want, encounter a dynamic event, participate in it and you'll be rewarded based on your participation. The instances does not work the same way instances work in other MMO. Last but not least, if I told you that there are no "roles" in Guild Wars 2, I'd be lying, so I'm afraid that I'll have to say, that there are no "roles" in Guild Wars 2. No classes heal one another, and if you had minimal knowledge about the original game, you'd know that you don't "tank" either.

It would seem that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
