For example, here is a random picture i googled of BG1 with 1920:1080. http://www.gamerdna.com/uimage/CCmJVWC/full/bg1wsm-jpg.jpg If i maximize it on my screen, it still looks very good (In comparison to how other games from that age look). Baldurs Gate is played mostly on a picture, and widescreen mods just show you more of it, so there are really no artifacts of any kind in the display.

I did hear they tried to get the original art from Bioware and it was all lost. Damn. Anyway, it still sounds like they're just milking the series, and I'm damn disappointed. It would have been much better if they just made BG3 using the same -everything as before rather than "enhancing" the 2 BG games that have been already enhanced by the fan community. We dont need the ipad version. We don't need a mac version, we want a new game with a different storyline! But check the original site. They got something clocking down. I'm guessing it's the timer to tell the world when they are gonna release it and how much it's gonna cost. Honestly, I'm gonna frown / pirate it if it's anything over $25.

Talk for yourself, I'd be glad to have a good game for my Ipad when I'm on the road or commuting. I think they said that the game would cost around 10$ (for the ipad version at least), and they are doing much more work than simply use a HD patch for the game (they remade an engine and are remaking most of the graphics from what I understood)

If "What does it cost?" is so important they think its top3 most important things to tell, it makes me think it will be f2p.

Since its initial release in 1998, Baldur's Gate has entertained millions of fans around the globe, and has received countless awards. This classic saga of mystery, intrigue, and adventure has set the standard for Dungeons & Dragons™ computer role-playing games ever since. Running on an upgraded and improved version of the Infinity Engine, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition™ includes the entire Baldur's Gate adventure, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and never before seen content including a new adventure, and three new party members: The Calishite Monk Rasaad yn Bashir, Neera the Wild Mage, and Dorn Il-Khan, the evil blackguard. Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for Windows contains the following enhancements: New Adventure: The Black Pits New Character: Dorn Il-Khan New Character: Neera the Wild Mage New Character: Rasaad yn Bashir A new collection of player character voice sets Native support for high resolution widescreen displays Over 400 improvements to the original game Improved multiplayer support, with connectivity between all platforms Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for Windows will be available as a direct download from Beamdog, with no client install necessary. Pre-purchasing will allow you to preload the game, so you can access it immediately after release. All that for 20$... Looks like an awesome deal to me! 3 new characters look pretty interesting and screenshots released are beautiful (bit sad that they are not showing the UI though). So excited for this game, cannot wait September! ![]()

Never played english version (polish version was on par with english, at least judging from some beats of english voice overs i heard). So maybe ill take a bite ![]() Actually BG1 was least played from me, my last playthrough (and i only completed it once :o)was like 2-3 years past release (crashed my cd lol). However it amazed me the most from all rpgs i ever played in my life, aesthetically.

This still seems like an attempt to make a quick buck by inducing nostalgia, instead of genuinely bringing a classic to the modern era. pretty much this, hope you are wrong though. I get this feeling of, are they doing it for $$ or they genuinely want to make good game. And thats pretty much for most of today's games. It's like, hey we don't need to make great game, we just need to add some sh*t that makes people to buy it - nostalgia, e-sports, etc. Fkin marketing

Remember, if this and BG2EE is successful, Trent Oster has said that BG3 is the next step! (Might also do IWDEE and PSTEE)

20$ for a new quest, 3 chars, fixes that mods have probably done for years and garbage graphics.
