Seahawks vs Packers will go down in NFL history as the MOST controversial game of all times

That has to be the most awesome/weird/tense/controversial/retarded endings to an NFL game I've seen. hahaha This was like the perfect ending for me. Seahawks win, and the replacement ref experiment is likely finished now. After this game, and the absurd calls made, highlighted by the ending, the NFL is going to HAVE to bring in the regular officials. There were so many hilarious moments in that ending too. Two refs come over, look at each other for cursory confirmation, then raise their hands in different calls. The Packers leave the field before the call is even finalized. A few packers players come out from the locker room and dig around in a tub of helmets, dejectedly searching for their gear. The seahawks kick their meaningless, procrastinated FG, to accentuate the absurdity of the game, while the packers players are forced to look on. I feel bad for GB being robbed on that last play, but terrible calls were going both ways the whole game. Their were a few questionable third down calls that extended the Packers drives, which led to points. So all in all, just glad the Seahawks get the win, and glad the replacement officials are probably on their way out now

because if that's the case then lmao that was hilarious. o and btw seriously... refs could go back to the old days where if when in doubt, don't call the damn foul.

You don't have to admit it was a gift, as I said. It's entirely possible to speak without sounding completely full of shit in these matters. The proper response is something along the lines of, "It was real close and could've gone either way; this time it went our way." As a matter of fact, it's rather common practice and I've seen countless interviews with athletes in similar positions.

My INITIAL response to the play was... "OMG HE CAUGHT IT! TD!!! Tie goes to the receiver!!!" And that's exactly what the Ref saw... upon further review, it was an INT in my opinion. Although, I can see an argument for Catch. Play is technically unreviewable about possession.

If both players share possession of the ball throughout the duration of the catch it is the receivers ball. If the receiver has possession, and then the defender gets possession as well, it's whoever comes away with it. The second happened, with Greenbay coming away with it. See above picture.

The way I understand the rule from ESPN Is that if both players have the ball at the same time it goes to the offense. However if a player gets the ball first then some one can't take it away from them, which is what the replay seemed to show in this case.

That's an unbelievable generous offer to Tate. He never has remote possession of the ball when compared with Jennings. Jennings had both hands on it the entire time and tucked it into his body.

Simultaneous possession goes to the offense. Sort of like tie goes to the runner in baseball. Yeah, I dont see anyone throwing out Wilson for putting togther some amazing drive. Last I saw was someone saying he cant throw his teammates under the bus for the call on the field.
