However, I wonder if Houston will be upset in the playoffs, and how much of an upset it will even be at that point, especially if they lose to Indy.
It is kind of weird how seeding works, but it also makes it very important. I thought they just made a bracket, but the #1 seed actually plays the lowest advancing seed, whether it's the winner of #3 vs #6, or #4 vs #5.
That's different from the NBA, where the winner of #1 vs #8 plays the winner of #4 vs #5, period, unless this has changed since the 90's.
Yeah, that is how both leagues work. I think the NHL restructures their bracket in some way as well, though I'm not as familiar with that league.

I would have gone for two, to be the first team that ever scored 50 points in three consecutive weeks. They are the first team to ever score 150 in three weeks though.

Well, the first time since the merger. You got those silly romps back in the 1950s and earlier that count for the record books.

THE SEAHAWKS ARE FUCKING NASTY

As good as they looked tonight, I just don't see them competing against a good team on the road Why not? They've competed in every single game this year. They've lost five games by an average margin of less than five points. Ironically, the only legitimately good team they've played on the road was Chicago, whom they beat.
Look I'm a Seahawks fan so everything I think about this team is vulnerable to bias, but I honestly don't see anyone in the league playing better than them right now.* Brutal rushing attack, suffocating D, elite special teams, and a quarterback who plays within himself, minimizes mistakes, and occasionally does something spectacular. Sounds like a pretty good team to me.
*not to say they're better than everyone, but they certainly appear to be as good as anyone
I'm not saying we should be booking our tickets to NOLA, but this is a really good team getting hot at the right time.
also I cant wait for us to be #1 DVOA tomorrow kekeke

Damn, that's a beautiful hit. Brutal, yeah, but it's just about as textbook as you can get.
Also, since you seem to always have highlight gifs, do you know where I could track down the hit Patrick Chung laid on Cecil Shorts today? I've been arguing with a friend that he's a dirty motherfucker, and, if you didn't see the game, it was probably one of the most egregious helmet-to-helmet hits I've seen all season.

Do realise that the NFL has purposely scheduled division games in Week 17 since a few years ago to avoid any lame non-divisional matches that are meaningless in the last week of the regular season.

Rex Ryan has done the impossible... I think he broke Tim tebows spirit

Hey you see a chip shot fg is never guaranteed. Thank god that didn't happen last week against NE. Is English not your first language or something? Because you have the reading comprehension of an elementary school student. oh, also, suck it SF. new sheriff in town.
This statement is hilariously inaccurate. We split the season series 1-1. And the 49ers still have the inside track on the NFC West, a win over Arizona next week and we win the division. So unless the 49ers manage to choke majorly, I'm talking Cubs level choke here, then we are still top dog in the West. Sorry to break it to you...

I think he just turned the "Anything for the team" guy into the "Get me the hell outta here" guy.

Tebow has denied these allegations.

He said he's a Seahawks fan a few posts later, so... that comment is understandable. Just hyped on the team's win. I'd be the same way if I were a 'Hawks fan.

The Niners have a real habit of looking like shit in all facets of the game when they lose this year. It's kind of odd. Almost like a different team playing.
Though to be fair, not having Justin Smith is huge for that defense. He sucks up all those blockers so that Smith can get to the qb, and that also frees Willis and Bowman to do work in getting to the ball carrier.
Also Sherman is stupid good. He also looks like he is always stoned. I like the Hawks corners a lot.

Even if true I am not sure you can leave the blame on Rex Ryan. I'm not convinced he wanted Tebow in the first place, so he kept him where he thought he belonged (on the bench).
- Just my thoughts from a far as I dont follow the Jets.

Did anyone see the battle of incompetence between the Steelers and Bengals for the playoff spot? Some mind-boggling badness. And people think Tomlin is a good coach, I think he's more like Marvin Lewis, only surrounded by a good franchise instead of a crap one. Also Roethlisberger coming up with some horrible, horrible stuff, that last interception has to be one of the year's worst decisions by anyone.

The buzz around the San Fran locker room is that some guys are getting a little sour on Harbaugh. And this is excluding Alex Smith Who I think last night probably slept like a baby.

Yeah they look outright crappy. Funny thing is they're 0-3 since Roth got back in. I, like everyone else, thought they'd get the ball rolling again, or at least not bottom out like this. Cincy in the playoffs again... Man, the AFC is waaaaay down

SF may win the division, but there is no question in my mind who is the better team right now. Harbaugh fucked up big time by going to Kaepernick, he looked completely lost last night. November/December is no time to be breaking in a young quarterback, and besides, he broke the unwritten rule - you don't lose your job to injury.
And don't take next week for granted - Arizona may have one of the worst offenses of the last decade, but their D can give anyone fits. AZ could easily turn this into a slugfest decided by one or two key mistakes - and quarterbacks with less than half a season of playing time under their belt tend to make mistakes.
