McCoy is out, so my rbs are Charles (vs Browns), Greene (vs Jax) and Dwill (ATL).
WRs are White (car), Demaryius Thomas (Oak), Marshall (Minn) Bryant (cinci)
I was originally thkning of going 2rb, 2te, but I am so much stronger at WR it is insane. I think any of those WRs are a better start than Greene.
The question is who do I leave out there? I was thinking of going Charles, White, DT, Marshall.... but Bryant has been on fire lately (29 catches 475yds and 6 td in the last 4 games) Marshall is questionable and has been TDless in two. White has sucked lately but I am pretty sure Carolina's D sucks more

Umm..going 2 tight ends? That's no good. 100% start Greene this week. Trust me.
You really think green out pruoduces any of those wrs? I usually would agree, but those dudes are all inside the top 5 for their position, minus white who dropped to 14 or so
Well guys for some or many it's the last week of FF before the playoff hits off. Let's hear some comeback stories or good coaching moves from some of y'all. This was my opening draft picks and starting lineup
Qb:M.Stafford Wr:Calvin Johnson Wr:D. Heyward-Bey Rb:Frank Gore Rb:Kendall Hunter TE:Tony Gonzalez Flex: Shonne Greene Kicker:David Akers Defense: Bears
On the Bench: Qb: Matt Flynn Qb: Ben Roth. Qb. Eli Manning Te: B.Celek Wr: M.Crabtree Defense: 49ers
This was my first year playing FF and obviously i didn't draft very well AT ALL. Haha. After 3 weeks i was easily down 1-2. Dead last in my league. Then came some coaching changes . I picked up Peyton Manning. Someone offered me Chris Johnson for Shonne Greene. Picked up some good players off waivers. Now in the last week of the season i'm in 2nd place (9-4), first in scoring (1304.4) and 2nd in points allowed (1040.88). 1st in breakdown. 1st in Coach 1st in True.
This is my starting lineup as of tonight: Qbeyton Manning Wr: Calvin Johnson Wr: T.Y. Hilton Rb:Chris Johnson Rb: Frank Gore Te: Brandon Meyers Flex: Alfred Morris Kicker: David Akers Defense: 49ers
Bench: Qb: Eli Manning Qb: Matthew Stafford Rb:Jacquizz Rodgers Wr: D. Heyward-Bey Wr: Stevie Johnson Te: Tony Gonzalez
Best pick up and trades : FA: Peyton Manning FA: Alfred Morris Trades: Got Chris Johnson for Shonne Greene
Worst decision: Letting go Bears defense. Picking up: Rashard Mendenhall Brandon Lafell Josh Gordon Davery Henderson Wasting my draft picks on 4 Qbs Drafting Kendall Hunters.

On any other week i wouldn't. Just this week against the Jags. Jags run defense is horrible. Jets starting 3rd stringer. I expect a heavy dose of Shonne Greene.
Team sources tell the Union-Tribune San Diego that Chargers owner Dean Spanos plans to fire both coach Norval Turner and GM A.J. Smith at season's end.
According to long-time Chargers reporter Kevin Acee, Spanos has "resigned himself to the fact that Smith can't be kept in the current environment of plummeting performance and fan unrest," and that plans to can both Turner and Smith are "already in motion." Spanos was widely expected to replace his football brain trust last season, but had a last-minute change of heart. Per Acee, "it seems certain" that will not be the case this time around. Spanos is reportedly planning to replace Smith with current Chargers Director of Player Personnel Jimmy Raye.

Take this with a grain of salt, but according to Time, the Commish is again mulling over the idea of getting rid of kickoffs. Apparently, one idea was to spot the ball at the 30 yard line and make it like a 4th and 15 play. The defense behind this is that players are too vulnerable during kickoffs, what with 11 people running at the recipient of the kickoff at full speed, where as high lobbed punts are shorter horizontally and probably increase (who knows) the chance of safer fair catches.
I've had my gripes about the Commish's hypocrisy, waffling, and iron-fist rule. But this is yet another awkward attempt to remove violence from an intentionally violent sport. Within 5 years, they will have a halo rule on wide receivers or some shit I'll bet. Tackling will be reduced to bearhugging and crouching only. Think about all the plays or scenarios where serious injuries happen. Will he change the style of the game even more so to attempt to weed all of this out? Sounds impossible.

Let's say an NFL player's wife died during an abortion, or maybe an WNBA player, and Bob Costas ranted about how abortion was morally wrong and that she'd still be alive if abortions were banned. Would you applaud him for that?
It was a completely inappropriate time and place to make such a statement, and the entire premise that they'd both still be alive if he didn't own a gun is ridiculous speculation.
In the game of hypotheticals, no one wins (though maybe some massive WNBA abortion scandal might rustle up some viewership). Like I said, I am applauding the gall it took to confront gun culture specifically, as the NRA and associated groups do their absolute best to discourage any and all conversations relating to gun rights. I don't agree with how he did it or even necessarily with what he specifically said, I simply enjoy seeing gun nuts get all worked up. Granted, the family and those involved ought to have the last say when it comes to public discussion of the case, so ultimately I am rather ambivalent about the whole thing.
Yes, confronting gun culture, fascinating, but completely irrelevant. He exploited a fucked up situation to stroke himself. Just because it bothered groups (NRA, whatever) that you don't like or you don't agree with, doesn't make it okay. The context was inappropriate, the platform was abusive, and was certainly not the place nor the time.
This is what's wrong with America. More of that "us vs them" mentality. Enough people are morons who think that morals and politics works like a coin: 2 sides, no spectrum. You are with us or against us. People who don't really care about legitimacy as long as they agree with your overall message. It's like that Athiest group that vandalizes churches and church-funded parks or events, and take pictures of it and post it on facebook. Wow, you don't agree with these people so I guess it's fair game to fuck with their shit and gloat about it, or as a viewer, laugh from your computer. Totally badass, you guys are really sticking it to those close-minded Christians, you're so above them now.
I just want to enjoy football, but I'm getting so tired of the fact that the games themselves are no longer the headlines. Off the field actions. Colorful commentary. Crime. Twitter. Tom Brady's girlfriend. Talking heads. I'm feeling the sourness.

Fully agree on everything. The last part... well, the're just "catering to the casuals"
I don't think there's anything wrong with catering to the casuals as long as there're places hardcore fans can turn to. I can also understand frustration over TV shows going away from it... but I would also argue that most of the stuff hardcore fans prefer are better in internet format anyways (long analytic articles, better video commentary, etc.), so I dunno. It is what it is.
Well, let's face it, the hardcore fans are not the people that make the NFL money. It's the casual fan. They cater to the dollars, nothing else. The hardcore fan will always have an outlet, because there are so many people that love football, but the NFL doesn't really give a damn about the hardcore fan.
Man, the Broncos look so good right now. They remind me of the 2K~ Colts but version 2.0, with a dominant pass rush (I loved Freeney/Mathis, but I think the Dumervil/Miller tandem is stronger) and a high scoring offense. Unlike the old Colts team, this team can run the ball marginally more effectively, and can actually close out games with their running/defense, unlike the old Colts that would just score 40 points to ice it. New England looks beastly as does Houston, but I think Denver is truthfully the team to beat right now in the AFC.

10 and 3 sure does look good, but i am not a believer yet. They have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL and are playing in a god awful division having to play KC, OAK, and SD twice that's 5-6 wins just right there. They are 0-3 against elite teams ATL, NE and HOU. Also while McGahee wasn't anything special, he was still a good solid workhorse, with him out for the season their running game should go downhill and quickly, I know Moreno looked good against the Raiders, but lets be honest here Raiders make everybody look good.
Agreed. Weak schedule, didn't beat the big teams. Don't forget that this same D sucked ass the first half of last season so it isn't that great... however, I do think they are a pretty solid team. The offense can pick up yards in the air or on the ground. When you combine that with a good pass rush and decent enough secondary, it mitigates a lot of other weaker parts of the team. They should be scary in the playoffs, because if they get ahead a score or two, they're hard to come back on
