The fact that there are 100% no restrictions on DN itself is a put off too, too hard for me to learn the rules and get to grips with it. Hope you guys have fun ![]()

Hope you guys have fun ![]() Try playing the yugioh games for GBA/DS. They come out with a new world championship every year that adds the newest cards, so you can catch up with newer releases or go the full boat and just play the very latest. The AI all use the new themed decks of the time so you get to see how they play out. If you've never actually PLAYED yugioh before, it also does everything automatically so you quickly learn what you can and can't do. It's also fun in general. Also I don't see the issue with no restrictions. If you've never been to a tournament before it's pretty much the exact same thing except a little faster paced. Or playing with a friend with actual cards.

if we only get 8 we should do 2 pools of 4 and have them each do a bo3 or something than top 2 move on to bracket (1a vs 2b 2a vs 1b)

You'll make lots of mistakes unless your a veteran and your opponents will make mistakes vice versa. It would be way too time-consuming to program. If you're not sure about a ruling, just google it (example: "Gorz vs Thunder King Rai-Oh) and the first result will usually be a wikia link telling you the correct ruling.

The opponent has Stardust Dragon and one face-down spell/trap. It's my turn and I use MST on the face-down card, he negates it via SD. I managed to summon Magi Magi Magician Gal and special summon his SD on my field. Battle Phase: SD declares an attack but he uses Mirror Force, I negate it via SD and it goes back to his grave. End Phase: Can he special summon SD because he activated its effect earlier? Can I use SD's effect under those circumstances? Can I special summon SD to my side of the field during the end phase?

Stardust's self-reviving effect is always activated by its owner (Since it activates in the graveyard). So it will always return to the owner's side of the field, no matter who used the destruction-negating effect.
