friend introduced me to this like yesterday. loool. so many memories from YGO. i used to run a legendary ocean deck cause my friend had an extra deck and he let me have it. pretty sure it wouldn't work it today's meta though, so i'm looking to pick up a new deck. don't know how i'm gonna get used to all this synchro and whatnot crap but. anyways. is there a current viable deck that runs similarly to legendary ocean?

Hey guys, im not sure how Necrovalley works... The description doesn't seem too informative to me.

A few things, either players graveyards cannot be targeted by spell/trap effects?

And you can use your graveyard and not your opponents?

You cannot target anything in ur graveyard as long as Necrovalley is present. Ex: Monster Reborn or Call of the Haunted.

Actually untrue. Effects which targets and affects cards in the graveyard can actually still be activated. By resolution however, the card will resolve without an effect.

And to clear up some misconception. Some effects can still target stuff in the graveyard and resolve with an effect even if necrovalley is on the field as long as the targeted card isn't "moved" (aka affected). A good example of this would be "Tragoedia" which can still activate it's targeting effect to change it's level to the level of the targeted monster.

I would play only if they didn't make everything so confusing. After the original, it just went downhill.

Ok, now I got a bit intrigued... when you play, do you have to maintain the rules by yourselves or does the game do it for you ?

It's all manual, so you have to do everything yourselves. It's a bit confusing at first, I just started as well, but you get the hang of it and get better each game you play.

When I was 11 years old I used to think I was so clever with a deck revolving around Gravity Bind, monster removal, mass counters, and multi hit 3 star monsters. Is anything like that even viable with today's meta game? (at the time, the "yata-lock" was just being figured out locally lol)

I don't know what's viable, I'm just recreating the deck I used when I played the game
seeing how it does will be fun ^^

I think that's a bad idea, that deck will probably not hold its own against new decks.
