EPTSo a beach house or something along those lines there, the area behind the first few mountains of spawn is very very nice looking so we don't want the landscapes there to change too much. If you're going to build on one of the smaller hills sure okay terraform it but the big mountains and hills you should build on them not tear them down or blow up major portions etcs.

 Updated the OP in the meantime. Not much new except the news. Edit: Auth servers came up a while ago, so it's possible to connect again. Also, for the sake of our new members: You might want to grab a custom skin. The way the MLP mod works is if you don't have a proper skin, it'll pick a background pony for you. Best thing would be if you made a custom skin yourself. You can use Verdana's pony creator to make one fairly easily: http://www.minelittlepony.com/ponymaker.html If you can't make one on your own, consider grabbing one from the MLP skin pack. I can't wait. Also,we've been swept up with all the building and the planning, but I just want to thank everyone on the server for their time. You build REALLY cool things and put a lot of effort into the server. It may seem like we are overbearing at times with aesthetic demands, but that's only because we want the server to be good enough to deserve the time we all put in. The town square (err, circle?) is going to look so cool and the roads are gonna be awesome and all of the buildings will fit so perfectly. Yay team! | ||

 The server itself seems to run fine by now, the moving definitely improved things a lot and we even have some resources to spare. Not much when it comes to RAM but a hayload of CPU. To improve communications between you fine miners and builders, I'll try to set up a voice-communications-server. In my opinion, there are two reasonable choices for dedicated vc-servers out there: Ventrilo and TeamSpeak 3. Here are some major differences between those two: Ventrilo: - simple and small window, easy to use - very good voice-quality - phonetics ( a lady, 'talking' to you things like 'AgonyOfLife has entered the channel' and stuff) - only 8 connections at the same time (yup, only 8 slots for a free dedicated server. will be "minecraft only". ) - easy for admins TS3: - highly configurable - slightly lower voice-quality compared to vent - up to 32 connections at the same time (unregistered, non profit) / 512 connections (free registered non-profit server) - moderate for admins (but shouldn't be a problem at all. mc is way more difficult to admin  )CPU/Bandwith usage should be about the same for both. In the end, it comes down to what you personally prefer to use. I completely understand if you don't want to install yet another VC-Client and have to get used to it. So.. here we go: Which VC-Server do you want me to try out? (If for some reason the server can't handle VC we have to find another solution) | ||
