Hey I'm guessing you got one by now, but if not I can send you a scroll of resurrection. Or if any other old wow players are interested it's definitely the best expansion since TBC, worth a look imo. I only came back 2 weeks ago and been enjoying it so far. The Rated BG's are pretty fun, and PvP in general is better than it was in Cata and WotLK. Post your email in this thread or PM and I'll send you a resurrection ![]()

Are pet battles are deep (so deep that it could be its own stand alone game that I'd play every day!) or no?

Although, I will have to say, that my favorite rogue of all time was my BC combat/subt shadowstep hemo. Who was the guy who popularized that, Reckful? I remember it spread like wildfire after he (or someone else) beat an unbeatable gnome warrior on PTR dueling (think it was Serennia). By the way, whatever happened to Happymingi? EDIT - WTF, World of Ming is DEAD??? my favorite style was double adrenaline rush with mace spec in tbc except that it wasn't really a style, it was just raping anyone in 5 second with a pyroblast/etc while the other guy is polymorphed. I literally felt dirty when I abused this to reach 2300ish, but it got nerfed pretty fast;) played as heavy poison muti later, but wasn't really able to get the 2200 weapons.. then when at the start of wotlk paladins killed everything in 2 second that wasn't a caster, I rolled a frost mage and a disco priest, and I became one of those ridiculous unkillable healers ahh nostalgy. I loved wow, wotlk kinda killed it for me though

by far the best time in all of WoW for myself personally. Was on Lightnings Blade with a bunch of PvP legends from that "era" would give anyways to have vanilla wow back.

Rogues were insanely overpowered against anyone NOT a warrior. Warlocks (that is, me) were the whipping boys for most everyone except mages (because mages were one trick ponies). At least in the small scale, locks were really good in groups for multiple fears and lots of DoT damage spread out. I really just want to play Vanilla again at some point because servers actually felt like communities. This cross realm BG/Dungeon/Raid finder pretty much destroyed the game for me in a lot of respects.

I spent whole afternoons pvping there on Dragonblight. also being one of the pvp guys was kind of a nice feeling, there were some great players there and all of them were humongous nerds with no lives lol- there was this shaman guy who made it to HW without ever being in a party, and it was actually like 4-5 chinese guys playing the char non stop lol

"Pvp guilds" were mostly bad. I remember our raiding guild would roll them whenever we did premades. They just pvp'd a hell of a lot more, they definitely weren't "better".

Thats why most premades consisting of players who raided a lot would stomp everyone that didnt raid.

That's only partially true. At the time it was released (and PvP was played en masse), HWL gear was better than their T1 counterparts. It wasn't until much later in T2/3 that raid gear became better. And even then, due to itemization, it wasn't significantly better.

And even then, due to itemization, it wasn't significantly better. in Vanilla, pvp gear just gave more stamina, which was quite important, but it required humongous effort to complete the set, t2 level gear was much easier to get after everyone started farming some bosses. but iirc of some items there were no decent viable pvp counterparts (like amulet or 2nd trinket), so a guy who was in a good build had an advantage in pvp too. if the guild struggled with hard bosses, the weapons were that made the difference because they were almost as good as the best t2 weaps and had slow attack speed. later in AQ and Naxx PvE gear was clearly superior. and btw after the exp came out I was a lone wolf rogue in tbc with full gladiator set and kara level daggers , and I would put on my ME GUSTA face whenever one of those "raiding guilds" entered a bg, and proceeded to gank them to death without dieing even once

I only ever play arena and I feel like trying to catch up in gear is just going to take so damn long. It's a huge bitch to grind everything these days. They've started gating things by time moreso than anything else (for PvE at least) by limiting the amount of shit you can get during a single day. I think it applies to some sort of honor bonuses once a day, but I have no idea about arena points. I haven't done competitive arena since Season 3/4.

Next patch they're changing conquest so you can pretty much catch up no matter how far behind you are. Plus a new tier of pvp gear. I don't pvp, but it should be interesting.

I've played all classes endgame PvE and PvP so far in the previous expansions, I was wondering if I should take a look at the MoP expansion and the new class. I have some gold that I could sell in D3 to get the expansion free. It's pretty fun - but if you burned out on WoW in general, you probably wouldn't notice a huge difference. I used to play top end, and am enjoying playing causally. The only thing that has turned me off about the game is the emphasis on daily things. If I have one day a week where I can sit down for 4-5 hours to do stuff, I want to be able to accomplish things. As it sits even if there is "one goal" I have, I can only do bits and pieces at a time and that is really frustrating. Especially with the daily reputation crap.
