Assault marines killing you with melee from 10 meters away, people appearing and re-appearing. Lascannons 1 shotting you through walls, people hugging walls and being invincible to bullets seemingly... lascannons can shoot through many walls.

If no one has told you already, Stalker Bolter and Meltagun with frags For perks you will need Weapon Versatility, and for your second I would recommend any of: Serrated Combat Knife Meltagun Charge (what I use) Stalker Ammo Reserves Stalker Burst Fire Master Crafted Wargear Chosen of the Armory teleport homer (Can't go wrong) In fact, for new players I recommend Teleport Homer because its free xp!\ The idea with this character is that your stalker bolter allows you to safely contribute damage and kills for your team while suppressing enemy snipers and devastator classes. It also lets you assist players under threat from jump packs, while maintaining safe distance yourself. The meltagun is more of a back pocket panic weapon in this respect, if you find yourself in close maze like situations or being threatened by an assault, the meltagun and a little patience can not only save your current life, but also take out multiple overaggressive enemies. This is one of the strongest and clearly most popular classes played, and for good reason. + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler + now, I'm not very good at this game... but take it from me that this load out works... or from Tarias... he uses it too :D <3 u Tarias! OF COURSE, if the melta gun just isn't your thing, you could substitute for a twin linked bolter to finish off close kills, or with a gracken bolter (although, that's pretty much a waste of a perk if you ask me)

nice! 9 kill streak is very hard to get. and i see you only have one bullet left! lol xerro is right though, the tac marine with stalker bolter is a very strong class. Versatile and at range they are a pain for assault marines.

The same goes for meltas (they're even better than lascannons at busting armour but they suffer from short range and even then work best when firing at targets at half their max range). Plasmas are anti-heavy infantry weapons.

![]() I've been playing alot of Seize ground games lately, kind of getting sick of the teammates I get put with, they don't seem to want to take any objectives instead just run around trying to get kills. If you go to the Space Marine forums it's writhe with "X is OP" but from my experience the game itself seems pretty balanced. The stalker bolter would be the only weapon I'd consider a little too strong, the gun itself is fine but they either need to lessen the damage or range in my opinion. On September 13 2011 06:53 ToT)OjKa( wrote: plasma cannon imba It's really not. The charged shot is only decent if you have the upgrade for it, because it just takes too long and unless you're lucky and hit a clump of people, its a huge trade off for possibly 1 kill, the shot itself actually takes something stupid like 60 ammo, meaning after 2-3 of them you have about 10 normal shots left. I'm still trying to reach level 41 to get that badass Daemon Armour for Chaos.

You try to cap a point while 3 teammates stand just right ehind you out of capping range and wait there... They don't even have to leave cover to "cap", they just hide. The matchmaking is also non existant? On the same server I had a game that ended like 1000/900 for our team.. Next game? 1000/50 or something ridiculous... It just rearanged the teams for no reason at all and the next few games were one sided rapes again (for different sides) ![]() The Dev-Plasmacannon is a little strong or at least just a little to dominating on the 3 point map with the "open" Point in the middle, else it seems perfectly fine. Yesterday I just forced myself to use Tac-Plasma and after a few games I really got the hang of it and bloody love it now (the perk for faster charging is very important tho). I prefer it over allmost any other gun now (well, it's a little map dependant) as long as you not overheat like a moron it is really nice against about anything there is.

As for match making; I've noticed that sometimes if 1-2 players leave a team it actually does a small shuffle of players, I could be wrong but sometimes instead of having some players from the other team come over, I've been put on the full team and others swapped in my place so I have no idea, relic will probably shed some light on it in the future. But christ do I want auto-mute/dedicated, I've had a relatively good experience until recently where the waiting for servers and no real way to identify the host other than ping can make it unplayable. As for the Dev's plasma cannon, I think the map you have in mind is the Waste Disposal (I think that's the name?) where B is on the platform in the center, they can be dominating on the cliffs on either side, very true. Maybe what's needed is just a reduction in the splash damage aswell as some cover fixes, that blast seems to travel through certain parts of scenery (I'm looking at you, Manufactorum point B.). But I think the problem as a whole comes down to a slight fix needed (splash reduction, possible fix of some objects) and assault classes performing their role better, most of the time especially on Manufactorum all of the assaults jump in to do melee around objective B, I just played a game where two assaults constantly attacked the Lascannon snipers/plasma gunners in close combat and we lost that by a long shot.

Actually I think in a "true-team" 8v8 this map could become really good... The fighting would probably be more over the sidespots which give control over B than B itself. Many ASM players are just really bad.. The plasma gun is freaking strong, the True Grit Bolter is freaking strong, even the Bolt Pistol when aimed nicely is damn strong.. Yet many never use them and instead try to kill some imaginary enemies only they see with their Hammers ![]()
