The only thing you can do when teammates dont give info and you end up constantly getting fucked because of it is to play around it, dont play positions where you can be screwed like that and, if possible, just bait them into getting you info / kills instead.
There are loads of way to communicate or gather info without using mics. Namely, be aware of your team and look at the minmap. In my personal experience, it is rare that there is a game without a few mic users, and peope who are bad at using mics are so much worse than people who don't have one. Bad info is worse than no mic, some guy talking crap on the mic is worse than no mic.
I think the VAC waves have really messed with some of the higher ranks, especially Eagle and up. I was a Badge before the waves and got promoted to Eagle after they started taking place. Some games I do well and easily hold my own against other Eagles, most likely those that are in the same spot as me. But some games I feel like I don't even deserve to be there, it seems like everyone is so much better than me and it's hard as hell. These are probably the Eagles that had the rank before the waves started taking place. It's crazy that there's such a huge variation in skill levels in one rank. I wonder if Eagle is the rank where people stopped benefiting from easy promotions thanks to the VAC waves and you have to actually work your way up from there, so it's just packed with people of all different skill levels.

I got supreme, 2 days after the ban wave. The skill varity is insane. Some people I play agianst would have a 20-80 chance agianst the pros, where I would have 5-95, and then there is others who belong in silver 4, but is like LEM.
im playing against lots of 1 game accounts nowadays. : ))))) how sweet. they dont even answer when you ask them what happened to their previous accounts. : ))) sad part is, they are still hacking.
I actually managed to rank down to MGE with my main account during the ban waves. Due to really bad luck with my teammates. Got at least one rager/leaver in 6 of my last 8 games. Meanwhile my smurf is just a few wins away from eagle. Due to very good luck with my teammates. xD

This video sums up the ban waves pretty well. People just have to get used to the fact that current assumptions of ranks, were due to hackers/boosted players hogging the higher rank spots, and once they got VAC'd everyone got bumped up to fill the empty spots, and we're still placing the same value on the newly acquired ranks.
That or don't have to get used to it, since hackers will soon find new ones, buy new accounts (CSGO was top selling game a few days ago), and retake their place + boost others.
That said, I'm happy the banwave got me promoted to SMFC :D
Fnatic crushed VP on Cache but man did they look rough on Cobblestone. Like, "running toward an enemy's last known location with a nade out and/or failing to peek with my teammate" rough. Close series overall, 19-15 for Fnatic on Mirage, 7-16 Cobble, 16-5 Cache.
I'm really amazed at all these organisations that got onto the CS:GO hype train, pick up shit NA teams, they get great salaries (Thorin said better than EU teams that place well and even win LANs) and then they still play like shit.

A lot of these NA players aren't even that popular though, makes me wonder if it actually is a worthy investment. NA scene in Dota is just as shit as in CS (minus EG) and there are no big name sponsors sponsoring those (again minus EG)
NA csgo reminds me quite a bit of NA LoL/Dota, lots of ego's, streaming, random ass reddit clips, very popular and very shit.(LoL fixed itself a bit tho)
Procake: Not popular overseas but a lot of them have a name for themselves in NA which is probably enough. I'm sure they're hoping the teams will win and up their marketability eventually.
But yeah, NA CS:GO is like most other NA team games. The culture here is really, really bad.
