Ah thanks! Seems like a reasonable change. Have to keep an eye on how that plays out.

You wanna amend your statement at this time? Well to be fair GO was really trash when it came out :D

Damn that's some high level necro stuff haha.
GO has changed so much indeed, both the game and the competitive environment, that it's hard to point fingers and say "haha, non-believers".

No mention of the CSGO BR? It looked pretty bad & clunky watching Shroud for all of 10 minutes last night. 18 players is a turn-off for me in a BR scenario. I play BR for the utter chaos that can happen in any given game. Still sticking w/ PUBG as I'm not into the arcade-y-ness of COD Blackout (even tho I bet the engine feels way smoother than pubg in most scenarios).

I played some last night, the game feels like csgo which is of course a huge plus but the loot acquisiton is awful (how tf am i supposed to kill somebody from 120hp and armour with 9 glock bullets at anything more than melee range?). The money system is of course an interesting way to kinda tie in the economy aspect of regular cs but its' just very poorly implemented. Killing people nets you next to no cash, looting nets nowhere near enough cash, and even mid-tier weapons like famas/galil are more money than I think i've ever earned despite winning a few. I know I died with $2000 and when my buddy looted me plus another guy he had a grand total of $850 afterwards, so you don't get the money people drop fully.
The ammo situation also HEAVILY discourages combat since after killing somebody neither you nor him have any bullets whatsoever, and ordering in more ammo (often not even enough for another fight) paints this glowing beacon over your head thanks to the drone.
Obviously regular CSGO player lethality is way too high for a BR mode, but I'm really not convinced that no ammo no guns no fun is the way to solve that.

It really feels like you should at least start with a pistol and some ammo and move up from there. It is CS afterall, it just feels silly starting with less than an eco round. Most of the game is played at knife range and pistol range, and first encounters are often pistol vs melee weapons. Only one time I managed to buy a p90, and another time someone killed me with an autosniper. Also there are red boxes with presumably better than pistols in them...only that you can't open it unless you already picked up a weapon...thus rendering it useless half the time you encounter one. Nothing is explained, including the syring or the new weapons like throwable explosives or the other melee weapons.

Played quite a bit of the Battle Royale stuff with friend and some beers last night. Like that it works nicely and once the matchmaking issues got sorted out, stuff ran quite smooth.
In 2 player team with comms, the lack of weapons didn't matter too much (at least one of us usually got something fast enough) and the communication made it easier to actually hunt down other players and gear up and all that. It was good fun for the most of it.
The mode definitely needs some balancing and more content in general though. The pitiful money rewards meant that I got to have scout once in the whole evening and never saw anyone else buying one. I could see plenty of fun stuff happening with high-risk objectives and rewards, but for now it's kind of meh on that part.
