Playing HC with that is kinda tricky ^.^
I get the same thing on the American servers occasionally. Sometimes it just isn't time to play and you have to find something else to do.

Anyone seen RaizQT's xplosive arrow build. Seems a bit op.

he wants to use auras
btw wrath only affects lightning dmg so so don't put that in FT build

If I may ask: why haven't you specced blood magic? Were you planning on using infernal mantle at any point? Flametotem is dirt cheap even at 5L, so his amount of mana nodes is already enough even without clarity (which got nerfed quite hard anyway) if he has some mana regen items.
What the guy above me said is true too. Don't use Wrath, but you can use Herald of Thunder instead. If you just use Anger then you can play Infernal Mantle too since you won't be close too low mana.

I trade regen for VP, not sure which gem I'll sacrifice for life leech but as I get more damage from tree it should be fine and much more tanky (not to mention less prone to 1-shot vs reflect). Only concern is that I miss 1 AoE cluster from witch area, so I may end up loosing dps because explosion won't overlap as much. If anyone has so feedback on that, I'd be curious, never played this kind of build before...

Im pretty new to the game. How do you manage your mana as a Marauder with new Wildstrike for example? Do I go bloodmagic? Or get some physdmg mana leech nodes? Is normal mana regen from a few items enough later on?
I think I wanna know more about mana management in general. I dont get why some builds go one route and some go another direction. Is there maybe an article about this somewhere online?

is new VP good enough for EA? worry it might still hurt on small double reflect mobs/bosses
|
Haven't tried the new VP or Explosive arrow, so not sure. With the leech gem "nerf" it might be an issue vs lone reflect mobs/bosses. As long as there's a few whites around it should be fine though. Maybe with AA reserved, but again this is pure theorycrafting for me, losing 12.5% life seems like a big deal
@chronix : early on it's all about mana flasks, and it gets way more complicated after that. For exemple, the build I'm talking about in my latest posts gets way too much attack speed to consider using mana. It could be done, but would require an insane amount of points to get working, which would mean less dmg/life. For "regular" (=no crazy attack speed) physical builds, usually getting the mana leech on gloves (master craft from haku) is enough. If you're in the ranger area, there's a money mana cluster that gives mana on hit and mana leech, a very good option if you're phys based, or if you hit a lot of targets in one volley (things like lightning arrow for exemple). Then there's casters, which can use the new Eldritch Battery or get easy access to lots of mana nodes. Blood magic, imo, should be a last resort, because it prevents you from using auras (you can get one 25% and you sacrifice lots of life for that). So either you can't sustain any other way, or you don't need auras (flame totems for exemple). It's also a solid option for leveling some char, waiting to get mana leech or the BM support gem. It's only one point if you pass by it, so you should try if mana really is an issue. Lastly, I know I was pretty bad at potion management when I started. You ideally want to chug one as soon as you start attacking, and before the first mob dies, so you regen asap and get charges back immediatly. Not necessarly easy or even doable with strong builds that one shot mobs, unfortunately.

It kind of depends on what build you plan on doing but using a bloodmagic gem or even using the keystone on marauder should be fine. Generally you go bloodmagic and lifeleech/life gain on hit, don't think people really do any sort of mana leech. Stacking mana and mana regen is generally better left to your caster classes like witch/templar etc, marauder isn't as suited to do this (especially early on) because you don't really have access to the necessary skillpoints. But yeah early on just running 3 or maybe even 4 if you dont have other flasks yet you can get away with using bloodmagic gem on your main skill and then adjusting later with some sort of lifeleech/gain.
Another benefit to running a bloodmagic gem on your main skills is that you can just straight up use all of your mana on auras for some time.
edit: cynry's response to you chronix is more complete. I was going to add that you shouldn't rely on bloodmagic and definatly will want to get out of using it later on when you can because it will gimp you in most cases but that if you must it isn't the biggest deal to use it early on with your main skills (though it still isn't ideal because it is a link you could be using for something else).

I need some advice on my build. I started templar and went pretty heavy into flametotem but now I kind of want to respec into srs. This is my current tree: current flametotem tree. I have 23 passive respec points and with about 7 regrets I can respec to this tree: planned srs tree and would finish out melding and written in blood wheels and then get gravepact and death atunement from there. Is this plan the best path you think and will it be able to sustain the manapool needed to run haste, AA, and anger while constantly casting srs, flesh offering etc? I tried to pad myself with some mana and mana regen nodes on the tree but with never messing with the new EB I really don't know what to expect . Anyways, any help or advice is appreciated!

Playing HC with that is kinda tricky ^.^ GGG said on reddit that it's most likely a provider issue. I think it may be the case but there is also the possibility of a terrible node somewhere along the line.

usually for melee you just take a node or 2 of "x% of physical dmg is leeched as mana". Mind drinker node near shadow is one of those .
and/or by lategame buy a glove with mana leech mod.
earlygame most people either go for temporary bloodmagic gem or get wurm's molt.

is there a Tempest channel where people congregate for Master missions?
I'm pretty there have been ones in the past

taking EB means that if you use a skill, mana cost is deducted from es first, mana later. if you want to use EB you need either Zealot oath or Ghost reaver as to not make your es drain in an instant. because srs does not leech for you, you must go for ZO and get life regen nodes/jewels/equipment and more ES (instead of mana and mana regen). make sure your es regen is on par with srs mana cost.
otherwise don't use EB and just go with standard life/hybrid srs getting mana/mana regen nodes.
benefit of EB build is that you can reserve the entirety of your mana to auras.

I'm running a MF Explosive arrow char atm. DPS is great, gearing is ez. The build can be a bit squishy though, especially with no leech.

Could you share your tree ?

playing Tempest, died to second phase Cruel Malachai from his AoE explosion when coming underneath the ground
was playing under Predictive because I sometimes get random spikes of the game not responding using Lockstep even though my ping & FPS look fine from F1
I was definitely running away so don't know if I died to desync or whether I got stunned from one of the red balls preventing me from running away more quickly
I ended up killing him afterwards in Standard using Lockstep. almost died to Shavronne though due to the game not responding for what seemed to be several seconds.
does anyone know what the "Auto" option does? Does the game decide between Predictive & Lockstep based on Gateway ping before entering the game or does it switch in-game depending on ping / network response?

sat at character screen for 20m last night unable to decide on a build for this play through. What's a nice cheapish build for the new HC league? My last play through (bloodlines?) I did a cyclone character to like 74 (rip) and a searing totem character to like 70+ but stopped playing.
Any fun new builds that are cheap and not totem based for HC?

I would guess an Incinerator selfcaster is pretty cheap as well. Nugi is playing one I think. Don't ask me on the tree though.
