Gonna be lots of rage because of that on PoE forums, there already is some haha. they only got some of the small bits. they didn't get the big changes, it doesn't look like. also hegemony's staff (or at least a version of it) got posted
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/OD48sX8.png) looks like it's in the same rarity tier as koams which puts it firmly out of my price range ...what the hell will I do with all those power charges? if I ever get it which I won't.

How active is Standard league normally, i.e. when the temp leagues are running? Or is there still any way to find out how many % (or total) players play Standard?
I might make a comeback but despise the temp leagues utterly and may play SC again.

why would that be in the "Uber-mega-rare" tier? like it's good but I can't imagine it being that desirable.
Oh well.

It will obviously depend on the popularity of the temp league mods. But as a rough comparison: During nemesis/ambush the standard league still had more active players than nemesis (and nemesis was pretty active in my opinion) -- see here. So I think you should be fine.

Oh well. probably just because its stat rolls put it close to being a very well-rolled (though not perfect) phys staff. the PC on knockback is weird though. I hope it gets bumped down a rarity tier so I have a chance at getting one and trying it out. I'm not totally convinced, honestly. Going CoC seems like a waste of a perfectly good phys staff, but going phys seems like a waste of power charges.

I think ur supposed to basically build crit leapslam/sweep with it but it sounds ass. Actually the fact that it gives u a 5th power charge (the 4th should be the one in templar) and a way to generate without running PCoC actually sounds OK.
I wanna knkow the ranges on that staff tho cuz the inherent crit is too low as is the DPS imo. if u 20qual that staff its 450dps I guess which is a lot but considering the way leap slam works iunno.
Actually its probably amazing after all this thinking about it LOL. Though u have to keep up charges.

There's a must have crit node that gives knockback on crit (Blunt Trauma). So it's basically free a PCOC. Looks like an amazing weapon for crit, which gives 200-250% crit (doubt anyone picks up more extra powercharges) without drawback.

well its a 10% pcoc which isn't "better" lol

Although unlike pcoc you could hypothetically get 4 or 5 charges instantly if u crit a big pack right
Also I dunno if u can "double knockback" but leap slam has like a 20% chance and sweep is like a 35% chance so add them all up and ur probably fine for power charges.

Yeah, it's definitely a top weapon, much like Bino's kitchen knife is good. It's maybe not BIS but more than enough to faceroll content.

Yeah I would put it in the same category as Bino's, but there are a LOT more people that are using rare phys daggers at the moment than there are people using phys staffs.

IIRC bino's is like 100x worse than an actual good rare dagger though.
This is like definitely worse than a godly rare staff but not that much due to the basically free global 200-250% crit.
The only reason binos is like 10-20 ex or w/e is the demand for phys crit daggers

GGG's recent strategy of implementing uniques that synergize with certain specific super-notables is kinda interesting. I'll withhold judgement on whether it's a good strategy or not but it certainly is interesting to wonder which one is next for a unique. King of the Hill seems like the next obvious one, possibly with some Puncture buffs in the mid-to-near future. Maybe Fingers of Frost? I feel like there's something cool that could be done there, maybe with a lower freeze threshold on chilled enemies.

erm so i just looked at the new passive tree for the first time and WTF GGG? jesus you'd think that they'd learn how small the changes they need to make are but apparently not.

Also, from the list of bench crafts available, there's something like "attack projectiles return to you". That's interesting... Also some "unarmed damage" 450-600%. Looks pretty cool, especially considering they will most likely add to that list.

Well, Hege loves knockback and I think he talked about his staff one time and what we see is pretty much the balanced version of it. He wanted it to be a bit different but knew at the same time that it would be too powerful then.

That's the one I'm using right now. It's up to date but without icons right now.
//to be honest, I don't think the changes to the passive tree are good this time. It seems so...uninspiring. Dunno, the last changes to Marauder and Shadow were pretty good but this time a lot of things seem messed up. Life seems to be over nerfed. I mean, 2-3% life nodes, really? Still have to see how it works out in the end but right now, doesn't matter which build I try to make, it's not really satisfying in the end.
