You can mitigate the chances of it happening, but it will eventually happen. Why they only created so gamebreaking items :/ I don't think the staff is that OP tbh. It's strictly worse than a well roll staff/ dual wand / dual dagger dmg wise. The good thing it got going is the 7th link echo, but will that overcome +3 gem rare staff have ? The unique mod mana bonus is good though, but not game breaker imo, since you sack a shield slot. | ||

Agreeing with destiny here, I don't see how it's gamebreaking. I don't see how it's the best item for MoM either since you can't run a shield. | ||

Did they said something about adding Spell Echo as gem? If not, read spoiler ^^' + Show Spoiler + Umm correct me if I presume wrong things, but spell echo sounds like the echoing shrine. If thats true repeated skills would mean you divide your casttime by 3. Thats a crazy dps increase for many spellcaster builds. I can't see why this staff won't be "best in slot" for many selfcasting-type builds. The only limitation right now that I can see is that some builds will be even more out of control in terms of lightthorns; GMP freezepulse with echo; LT reeep. And on a fun note; I really want to see Crit Staff SpecThrow CoC builds with that staff. | ||

Well you dont need any extra stats to get the 1/3 casttime. Casting a spell which then gets repeated makes it 3 spells per activation. IF the gem got a heavy dmg reduction and no increases at all it is balanced. Thats why i asked about a preview gem or something ^^ | ||

If we assume the same progression as multistrike, it'll give 87% increased spell damage, 117% increased cast speed Sometimes you're cruisin' along flameblasting and a random rare with the allies reflect ele damage mod pops up and you get wrecked, it's as easy as that. | ||

The closest comparable thing is Doon Cuebiyari but I'm pretty sure that Spell Echo is going to be much stronger than Iron Will. | ||

I remember it vividly cause I was on my crit spectral throw character and I could fill half the screen with pizza boxes in one click, but I also remember that if I wasnt doing dmg it drained my mana verrrrrrrry quickly  That staff is absolutely insane. 6-linked, it will probably be the most ridiculously awesomest staff ever. /drool.
