I read some interesting theorycraft on Reddit. Supposedly, one "cast" of flameblast is one stack, so with the staff, one could get a 10-stack flameblast in about a second. There are, of course, many other interesting uses, but that one's my favorite. I might actually forgo a shield in a hardcore league if this staff turns out to be as good as I think it is. | ||

Sad thing about EK though. A buff for selfcast, but a nerf for the only good build (CoC) I managed to create... Oh well... | ||

Nice to know, and it means that flameblast is even better than I thought. + Show Spoiler + Even if we can't use this staff to supercharge flameblast's damage (because reflect), we use the dps boost to take points from damage nodes on the passive tree and shift them towards more defense. The end result should be a tankier Templar with MUCH more aoe on his flameblast, courtesy of this staff. I hope it isn't chase tier; I plan to have a lot of fun with this thing. Unfortunate that we lost one of the few (only?) phys damage CoC options, but I guess this makes EK totem builds better? I saw Unhost's EK totem build and have been wanting to do one myself since then, but his build had a bit of a paywall. | ||
