From what I remember she just gave me some regular melee hits possibly crits in her regular form.. It just happened all so quickly its hard to recall exactly in detail.. The funny part is that I was able to tank(well maybe not tank but I recall her hitting me quite a few times in both forms early on and I never dropped more than 3/4 life) her hits in both forms and really felt the fight to be easy. Then all of the sudden she just focuses me down with a few melee hits so I smashed my 1-2 giant life flasks and I was starting to run away when I died.
I feel rather unmotivated at the moment..

Life leech is better once you do enough damage. Life gain on hit is far superior early on though. You only leech off your physical damage though.

Darn, too late now but just did that boss on my 37 mara running conduit + endurance charges in a party. Tough fight definately... if not for quicksilver flasks I might not have made it (we lost one in the group). Definately wanna cap cold res for that one- can't run away from the ice arrows if it gets nasty!

Pretty sure it procs the secondary effect of the element (shock, ignite, freeze/chill).

depending on what element you have on your weapon, you should apply the ignite / freeze / shock status.

Split Arrow only increases physical damage, and doesn't convert, so WED really isn't that effective. It also costs more mana.

I'd like to see the exact numbers, but anything above 6-360 base lightning damage makes it easily the best single target attack beside a dedicated frenzy build. Burning Arrow + WED barely outdamages Ice Shot + WED, so I wouldn't be surprised if they buffed it; 50% physical to fire conversion with a ~120% base and +projectile damage% sounds about right.
Note: I claimed that Chain wasn't that valuable anymore and I was wrong. Most mobs they added are in smaller numbers, and Chain is the only option that is just as strong for 5 mobs than 20. Fork/Pierce are better to farm western forest or maps with ridiculous pack size, but for A3, chain > Fork, it's not even close.

Yeah I'm in the camp where I have the skills I want but getting a Energy shield 5L chest/4L helm/4L gloves with the socket colours I need at a decent iLevel is quite a pain :/. It seems like only equipment people sell in Trade chat are junk rares with an occasional unique that is worthless for my build haha.

Actually nugiyen also uses Split Arrow over LA.
For the WED gem, the thing is it doesn't matter your not converting your physical to elemental damage. The gem increases your bow's elemental damage by 61% just by being there.
As for Lightning Arrow / Split Arrow / Iceshot, it doesn't matter which i use. You can change the shot as you wish. Elemental Bow builds its flexible that way.

Im building a witch focused around ES+Cold+Crit, on Softcore. Would you guys recommend getting +max health on top of focusing to ES? And if yes, would you suggest on getting as much max HP as possible, or what? Im so far only level 22, and im not sure on how much the difficulty will scale up. So far im doing good with just ES, but i'd hate to find out that im terribly wrong later on.

Split Arrow + WED + Added Fire outdamages the new LA. LA doesn't shock anymore so doesn't do idiotic amounts of damage. Added Fire is based off your phys dmg, so having it with split arrow + wed makes it do idiotic amounts of dmg.

LA itself doesn't shock yes.But your personal shock damage does still shock. Wrath aura for one. It's still pretty good to use

Exactly. Give them at least 2-3 weeks to get enough servers up and running, I'm sure they are very aware and want to fix it, so there's no use whining about it. Especially not when the servers have worked very smoothly before they opened the beta.

Do gems naturally start at 0% gem quality and increase randomly for each gemcutter prism? Whats the max gem quality?
