Do any of you folks play Poe2? Do you play both games but don't speak about Poe2? Are you trying every Poe2 league but get disappointed? Have you dropped it until the general consensus becomes "It's better than poe1 now" ? | ||

In general I'm quite burned out on both PoE and PoE2 though. The last league I played a ton was Settlers and I'm currently taking a break from both games until I feel like playing them again. | ||

I won't touch it unless that group is actually hyped about it. Right now the general sentiment is 'Fuck PoE2' and none of them play it. It does sound/feel like GGG's eternal agitating against the playerbase's general desire for moving fast loot explosions and trying to force a slow, methodical experience. I don't think that experience sounds horrible, but I'll give GGG time to refine the experience before diving in, with vague hopes that it isn't truly just PoE2 and they stick to their guns. In PoE1 I certainly don't love any of the uber boss fights and try bruteforce them with stats as much as possible, so MAYBE that experience isn't for me, but its hard to say. Mostly playing once in three seasons means I'm not feeling content starved so more poe content doesn't seem necessary for me. | ||

I very much like PoE2 and I am extremely excited for PoE2. A lot of curmudgeon-y bastards around, but v0.3 was twice as good as v0.1. They can hit that doubling cycle a few more times. By 2027, PoE2 will be the GOAT ARPG. There is zero doubt in my mind. | ||

Altough I play a lot more PoE1. In Poe1 I reach maps in one day and improve several characters over weeks playing a lot. In PoE2 I try some leveling in the campaign but when i reach engame I get bored because endgame is too beta. But I love the campaign so far. | ||

I played launch PoE 2 and really loved the leveling and overall experience, but thought the endgame was very bad. I don't talk much about it because my understanding of it is pretty low. I'll definitely get back to PoE 2 at some point, but I'm a pretty casual gamer these days - can't play both games even with months break. Will probably wait until I hear more good things about PoE 2 Right now all the talk is about PoE1 because of the new league, and lots of us are 5-10 year vets. | ||

I don't have any real experience with PoE1 - I only played it for a few hours and it was too complicated for me to want to log in a second day. I have been playing each PoE2 league though for hundreds of hours and I have very mixed feelings about it too, with my opinion going from "amazing" in the first league to me probably skipping the next league. I don't enjoy the campaign, I do kind of enjoy lategame but I get burned out very quickly because it seems like nothing ever drops for me, and with the latest league my game crashes in every 2nd map.. I think it will become much better once the devs actually just start giving players what they want, instead of always adding a "BUT" to it. Sprint making you basically insta-die when you get hit once is a great example of a feature that was very much requested but got given to us with an absolutely stupid, unneeded and unfun feature on top of it. It feels like most things in the game get passed through this shit filter and I wish it would stop. | ||

Players are short sighted idiots. I can sprint all I want and never die. You have it to earn it. | ||

If you can sprint all you want and never die, then so should others. There's nothing more annoying that sprinting, getting a lagspike, and then being stunned for 12 hours once the lagspike ends. I do agree that it's a slippery slope, but there's a way to do it right, and I think they will be able to do it in a year or two. It feels like they are slowly making concessions but they're not "quite" there yet. | ||
