Amusingly enough it was slightly buffed for bossing but that's not what I used it for at all. To put it into context, I used spark to proc freeze and it took 2-4 casts to clear a pack with comets after freezes. I already used almost all possible freeze nodes on the try and the gem for extra freezes. Gave it a quick shot and it took around 3-4 white packs that I killed with spark while they were almost permafrozen until the first comet proc'd. | ||

I might reroll lightning arrow deadeye or some type of warrior, but if they nerf the hell out of that, I'll take a long, hard break from PoE2. | ||

I think it's another compounding problem: respec costs are too high, skill options for spells are too few, and rerolling is painful when the campaign is a very long slog. To quote Ben, "if the campaign stays this way forever, which I don't know if it will, but if it does, I'm only going to make one character per league, 100%." This is the kind of change that affected a large number of people across multiple builds and characters. It's the perfect case for a free respec. Even setting that aside, it seems like they ought to just be giving weekly free respecs for the beginning of EA or setting the cost to 1%. It would make it a lot more possible to actually go out and experiment with things. There's definitely a lot of fear from players simply because they don't know where the whackamole hammer will land. I'm actively trying to avoid any skill or character that's popular because they might brick my character without warning. Right now we see time and time again someone finds something strong so people spec into that, they nerf it into the ground, and then all those people are just SOL. While nerfs in early EA are an expected occurrence, the way they're handling things right now is not very positive. | ||

Really hopeful they add respecs for those patches, otherwise people will be really spooked about investing time. Also nerfs shouldn't be as harsh as when they're trying to "reshape the meta" between leagues, cof comet would still have been fine and playable with a 100% nerf even. Just 10x worse is a bit much. | ||

Any suggestions? I spam Spark/Flamewall and just try to somehow force myself thru it until I get to the bigger spells but dmg just fell off a cliff in the last few zones. I got the feeling the Dreadnought will be unfathomably harsh and how my dmg will ever kill the Boss is also unclear.... | ||

Pick up the nodes on the left side that look like triforce, that give you +% damage to enemies affected per elemental ailment. Your enemies should pretty much be always affected by burning, shock and exposure from frost buildup. You WILL get randomly 1-shotted by bosses and maybe even mobs, that's just a fact of life. Look for +% spell damage and +levels of all spells. Make sure your mana regen is OK, through skill passive nodes, necklace amulet and other ways. | ||

I guess my main issue is that I started with going Lightning/Frost from the get go using the weapon set skills. So neither my Lightning nor my Frost stuff has taken off yet. Especially my Shock Chance on Spark seems way too low. From what i've seen from friends this is probably a harsh few levels for Sorceress in general and I made it even worse for myself ^^. At worst I will have to get like 4-5 levels to get stuff from the big lightning cluster at the top of the tree for some more shock chance and later respecc out of it to specc back into it once I got the weapon swap points. Well, will throw myself at it this evening . | ||

Is Ranger fun? I wanted to wait until rideable rhoas before playing it, but idk how long that will take. Not really sure what to play next. Anyone really loved their class? I been playing Titan and its super fun for me | ||

Ranger/Lightning-Bow-Skills seem to be very strong damage wise at the moment but I haven't played that. Both have no defenses and are evasion based... If your ok with being a glass cannon, they are both very viable. | ||
