EPTI wonder if someday I will able to do "The feared". I've done most encounters of the game in different leagues (Uber Elder, Maven, Sirus AW9, Katarina, The Cortex, etc.) but the feared is just too hard. I tried it once last league and it was a fail (I never found Aul's neither, I think that is hard too).

Thats probably the second hardest of these fights behind the Feared and for sure much harder than Elder/Shaper(Sirus because it's much harder to dodge everything they throw at you if your not on a build that just deletes them.. | ||

On a strong build (which for me is HC viable and not defined through 100 million dps even though I play SC), I feel like for me Uber Elder is easier than A8 even though I killed UE like 10-15 times at most by now. | ||

Well yeah, you don't get many times to try and the fact that you need to complete many maps to get another attempt if you fail one makes it feel very bad and removes the possiblity to learn the fighty quickly by rapid repitition. I don't know if I'd consider my character HC viable. Probably not quite but I didn't get one shot by the Sirus beams at full life. The DPS feels fine, the first phases were very quick. I don't remember if I died but I remember I found it surprisingly "easy" and I would consider my char back then HC viable (was able to tank the big slams from Shaper, Cortex etc.). And with easy I mean it was challenging going in but it was fairly possible to pick up on telegraphs and keep track of most things. Same with Uber Atziri, which is hard imho but doesn't feel unfair. | ||

Despite the changes this season I’ve had fun. First time trying freezing pulse totems and it was enjoyable. I’ll keep grinding away and maybe I’ll get up to 30 challenges 😛 I need to kill the boss in the wharf for a challenge but I either do no damage or too much damage, have to find a sweet spot that lets me damage the boss in chunks. Not sure if I should do a low level map or a high level one. Feels silly that I haven’t been able to do that “low level challenge” lol I’m using manual cast ice spear for the fight so I am less likely to kill the adds. | ||

Also found a stack of 3 exalted orbs today, first time for me they drop in stack, but must be the league mechanisme with extra currency on Reamerants. | ||

GL^^ I'm not really into this whole achievement thing (in any game) but I look through them every league and 36 always seems like it requires an insurmountable amount of grind of things that are not fun (to me). Part 2 is out now as well, and I must say I don't dislike that Attack dodge gets removed. Because since Evasion gets buffed a bit, if you really need it you can get some Armour (buffed) and/or block (Acrobatics got changed) as well. I wish they would massively nerf monster auras, or at least reduce the frequency. Very often you'll actually die because of multiple monsters having auras. | ||

Regarding the DoT buffs: Looks like it will be Ignite/Cold DoT league. I have played with some ideas for league starters but those 2 options get a huge buff and are usually very smooth for league start and mapping so I'm thinking about going with one of those. Especially with the changes to reservation, which I think are a buff to spell slinger. What I don't really get is why they nerfed our damage and now buff it back up. Seems very contradictory but ok. Same with ailment mitigation. They just rebuff bench crafting and flask mods to essentially what they were before 3.15. | ||

But I'm sure a lot of other things will be in the patch notes. And I hope GGG reacts to the current public opinion that Ignite and Cold DoT are getting further nerfs (which I agree with, except for the more massively buffed skills like Firestorm). Also I forgot Flame Surge, there's a chance they make it worth using for Ignite builds. If it makes for a solid bossing skill, the builds be good. | ||

For Firestorm I don't understand the change to anomalous quality: Quality on Anomalous Firestorm no longer grants “(0.00)-(-0.06) seconds to Base Duration”, or “First Impact deals 0-60% more Damage with Hits and Ailments”. Instead, it now grants 0-10% chance to Ignite Enemies. Because of base Ignite damage changes, Ignite with the skill is now 150% higher. If using the Anomalous quality, the Ignite is now 110% higher. So the anomalous quality is basically a downgrade now? Who cares about ignite chance? It's incredibly easy to get to 100%. I just saw they will nerf Frost Bomb into the ground for the sake of ignite. Sad.  | ||

Yes, also Incinerate. They should all be decent, especially Incinerate. I think Armageddon Brand ignite alone will still be zdps against bosses though. For Cold DoT you can at least use multiple skills. | ||
