Played Tec Slam in Synthesis. Personally didn't find it a great for SSF. It gets a big boost from cheap uniques in trade league (double Scaeva gets you to red maps, double Phoenix sword past that), but struggles a bit with damage before you get good weapons. Also, its just never a particularly good bossing skill

I like having beefier mobs in maps but even that is done a lot better by Betrayal in my opinion. I wasn't affected by frame drops so I really liked engaging in Betrayal content this league.

And I don't know how you define GG endgame crafts but even in SSF I think it's reasonable to want to top your lvl95+ character off with a multimodded weapon for example and as of now you can do that maybe once a league in my experience, depending on your luck.
It's not only gated behind a super rare currency but also behind recipes which are not that tempting to get considering how much stuff you have to do / want to do otherwise and that they also aren't that easy to come by.
Additionaly those crafted items are also usually pretty specific for one character, so I wouldn't mind if I could pay for those mods in chaos for example. With a worse exchange rate than you would get in SC trade league of course.


Apart from that crafting is awesome , thanks to the fact that Delve works a lot better in SSF than Bestiary :p

Hm... I'm feeling some Cyclone/CWC thing coming my way... I don't know what yet but there gotta be plenty of options for this now . Bladevortex sounds like fun, circles of death .

I was also thinking Tec Slam Jugg, but I have a feeling the reworks and/or new skills might sway me elsewhere. I've been playing FOTM for a few leagues now and enjoying it just as much as scrapping together my own nonsense, so might as well abuse what's good while it lasts lol.

I also do really want to do a stupid crazy flicker character if the leagues fun enough for me to play more and make a bunch of cash.

I'd mostly want to play a melee raider or a (poison?) pathfinder, but the former's advantages are common on gear now and the latter seems too expensive to get off the ground.

It's also really tempting to play a bow build or build using those new corpse zombie gloves since melee gear will be so expensive if it's meta.

I think just having more gear that interacts with frenzy charges, but doesn't generate them would go a long way. Honestly same for power charges. One of the weirdest parts about power/frenzy charges is once you have a generated source of them it's hard to buff their effects up without just doubling up on the generation source.

Like for synth I was using a Power Charge on crit (support gem) + power charge on crit (effect) CWC staff. But it was really difficult to get more value out of the PCoC because any source of modifying power charges (like trickster Swift Killer) would come with a generation of power charges to begin with so you're only getting marginal benefit from PCoC or the ascension.

could watch this short summary, I haven't checked it myself. The obvious / often repeated things are animation canceling (before or after damage point), movement skills are instant for start up. A lot of animations fixed so they exactly fit what they are actually hitting. Namelocking / targeting much improved. Lots of stuff getting a range buff, nearly screen wide cyclone showed off. Weapon specfiic support gems (1 for dagger, 1 for mace, etc) for more diversification / flavor. Probably other stuff I forgot already

The most hype thing is jonathans enthusianism. But also that the changes to fight mechanics are focused on early game and endgame bossing.

Armor with Molten Shell sounds really reliable, but the cooldown only starting when the skill ends makes me think you'll get 50% uptime at best. Still, 4-5s of 75% less damage taken is enough for the vast majority of hard encounters, and it's usable vs long bosses, unlike Vaal Grace.

I really hope we get the berzerker and duelist reveals this week. Gotta get a few leveling runs in with melee this weekend!

I'm really curious how Vaal Molten Shell is going to work now. Apparently Molten Shell does reflected damage, which means normal damage scaling won't work and you scale the damage by getting your armour really high - is VMS going to be the same?

Also - apparently Molten Shell now gives global damage reduction - does VMS do the same? Does that mean you can now trigger its explosions by taking hits of any damage type (not just physical)? Can you make VMS splodey builds with Eye of Innocence without using Rat Cage now?

I have a lot of questions, basically.
