+ Show Spoiler [youtube link] + Atm raw movespeed is generally considered king, so a move back to shield charge/whirling blade isn't too bad IMO. sounds like the inital start up is instant, but the backswing / after cooldown or whatever it's called is still significant

Instant in the sense of feeling more "responsive", and better for dodging / microing quickly, but still with ample active frames and/or cooldown (either explicitly or just through "recovery") to not really change them from how they currently perform.

Probably only going to finish leveling two chars to 85/75 respectively in flashback for the possible rewards but come June 7th I'll forget all other games.. again. As an ssf player Incubators are probably my favourite idea. Tree-changing jewels are exciting. Speechless.

As in, the game is already plenty fast, and adding more things that makes it faster, and more importantly, more things that take your reaction, gets me a bit anxious.

For most trash mobs I don't think we're going to see all that much difference outside of the early acts of the game. You may need to pay just a little bit more attention to not standing immediately next to a melee mob but it's probably mostly going to be the same.

Need some way to rapidly cast both Raise Zombie and Detonate Dead at the same time...one of them could be CwC/CoC on something like new Cyclone, but then I'd need a way to trigger the other one. Heartbound Loop maybe? Kind of doubt I can get enough healing out of the Maligaro's Lens combo to sustain a fast CwDT setup... This kind of thing is the reason I can never play good builds.

It makes getting flask mods less of a pain (important since you can't buy them and is a massive improvement over alt-spamming) and is a source of a steady stream of alch shards (which are important to maintaining your supply of alchs to keep alching maps). SSF crafting is completely fine depending on where you set your goals. You aren't going to get GG endgame crafts but that's not what SSF is about. The mechanics don't do the same things they do on trade league, but they're nonetheless functional and important.

Trying to motivate myself to finish off challenges - I'm at about 30 or so; could migrate my SSF character and e.g. buy a Mortal Hope (usually have more Hopes than Ignorances due to the div card, but seems to be a lower drop rate than in the past) or grind a few things out (fiiiinally had a Cortex spawn, but it's fairly heavily modded and I'm a bit leery of getting one shot at something you haven't fought before; really miss last league's Vortex Occultist as an SSF bosser compared to a Divine Ire Trickster). Have a L75 Chieftain in non-SSF Flashback, but not sure if I have the will to live to grind out the Perandus coins.

Yeah, hard to say yet how exactly the patch will affect things, but Jugg with any good AoE melee skill (which includes Tec Slam for sure) has historically been a good choice for budget/lSSF/league start.
