I never imagined i would have problems putting a few road pieces in a row after one another, Path of Exile managed succesfully to do that. I don't know how, but it did. And no, all the explanations do shit all to reasonably explain the problems i had yesterday. I see a direct Path that would obviously connect with a memory piece i have, yet i can't drop it because reasons. This is just absolutely horrible design. Bonus: Annoyed i screw around a little and end up in an expended/broken area whiteout a piece to go further --> Use "Teleport back to Memory Hub" --> Doesn't do anything --> Try a few times and then Relog so I can get out. Staggering.

If this happens again could you take a screenshot of the node you're trying to place and your available tiles? Right now the thing I'm hoping they might change is preventing a new special node from spawning and cutting you off if you have a long chain of memories planned. I haven't had it happen to me yet but it's only a matter of time and bad luck. I know the "grayed out" memory placement is there mostly to help you plan ahead and be efficient with your time, but it's going to be painful when you're 8 memories in and it gets suddenly chopped off by a new block facing a different direction lol.

Extremely unlikely to get what you want on the base item you want. Also requires one to have a lot of stash tabs. For people that don't want to craft GG items I think fractured items are more interesting, they make crafting a bit easier. Then again it's also pretty unlikely you get the base item you want with one or even better two mods you want to have. Seems like the vast majority of fractured items you find aren't worth keeping/selling, but should be pretty easy to do some crafting with them. Like, Vaal Regalias with fractured %ES are only a few chaos, and you can scour+synthesize those for a guaranteed ES implicit, right? So I guess you keep fractured T1 bases (especially if they have multiple fractured mods, or if the fractured mods on them will give the implicit you want on that base), and ignore most others?

They are very nice as drop tabs, you put all kind of stuff there after mapping and clean them later on. It makes mapping more enjoyable for some people (me included).

And yeah, you're probably right that Shaper/Elder mods are better than Fractured mods in most cases. I guess the use cases we care about are items where you mostly care about getting a whole lot of a single stat (like ES on Regalias), plus jewels (since they can't be Shaper/Elder anyway).

The "high end" crafting option for this league is obviously Synthesized items, as crafting onto the implicit slot is "free" on a lot of items and insanely powerful (especially since implicits don't compete with lab enchants anymore). It's also not something realistic for most of the normal casual playerbase, given the amount of investment needed to control what implicit you get out. The only comparable use of the implicit slot we've seen before are Incursion double-corrupts to get multiple Vaal implicits, and that's gated by the availability of T3 corruption rooms + corruption RNG/the risk of bricking your item. I don't know why people came in with the expectation that it was going to be easy to get good implicits on these items--it was obvious that 99.9% of them were going to be complete and utter garbage and the rewards would only really be worth it for people with insane amounts of currency to burn on crafting. Obviously GGG wasn't just going to turn the implicit slot into a 7th mod slot that you can just freely craft onto. It's pretty clear that GGG designed this as a "two-tiered" reward structure for the league, so that there are two separate use cases for players at different levels of investment.

* Is there a typeable command to move from town/your hideout to the memory nexus equivalent to /hideout or /delve? * Is there a way to view the Betrayal investigation board outside of talking to Jun in your hideout, or when talking to a defeated Immortal Syndicate member? It's not an option on the, ah, 'H' view (Prophecies/Challenges/Delve/Bestiary), and 'V' now takes you to the current league's equivalent, the Memory Nexus view. I guess it's equivalent to only being able to view the Temple of Atzoatl layout via talking to Alva in your hideout, but it's a bit frustrating in-map to only be able to view the board with a chunk of it obscured by the current bargain/execute option, as Jun isn't available for dialogue until all the members have been dealt with.

It's funny how early you meet Cavas compared to how overwhelming he is for some builds at that point. I was playing a Trickster so I had freeze pulse and it's hilariously inadequate for the memory at the point where you meet Cavas. Not as bad as Betrayal where some builds/casual builds would get creamed by them without choice but still funny.

I definitely got owned by Breach, Abyss, Bestiary, Incursion, Betrayal, and Synthesis mechanics in act 1.

My friend and I met Haku in A2 or A3 or something in Betrayal league and he had some item that allowed him to regenerate or leech health or something? It was legit like a 5-10 minute fight. Absurd lol.
