I had two items I wanted to get 2 veiled mod Aisling crafts on.

The 500 dps 1h weapons can still be crafted if you roll for T1 hybrid phys% or T1 phys% from what I read on Reddit.

Agree with Evo. I run a few weighted searches, and all the top results for wands/scepters are multi-craft + ele as chaos. It used to be that 4 good mods could top that with Aisling, but looks like I missed that boat. It's weird that they nerf multi-mod for weapons but not casters while they nerf the main way for dropped rares to compete.

Free Leo slams are fine for most armors, but for amulets and weapons, Aisling was so much more reliable, and still really hard to get. It should at least be 100% to get double mods at rank 3 now.

As for difficulty, this league would be fine if the rewards weren't exactly the same when farmed in A9 vs red maps. It kinda sucks that they didn't nerf Arc (and likely BV/EleH), because balancing the rest around those seems way harder and worse for the game than bringing us back to a reasonable power level. Veiled mod crafting was a huge power spike already.

Guys, I have already started thinking about my 2nd character for this league (that I will level over the holidays).
I was thinking about making a strength stacking Necro that would use Baron, Zombies and Geofrey Sanctuary. He would be CI of course.

Anyone got some experience or tips for this? I am not looking to make something that will be best ever but functional and able to clear red maps and kill guardians would be enough for me.
Or maybe you have seen someone play something similar and can point me in the right direction?

While I'm questioning the choice of going CI and using Geofrey's Sanctuary when using the Baron and going STR heavy, I think your damage will be fine either way even against Guardians. Zombies wreck things really quickly. Just their survivability can be a problem at times, like against Phoenix of course. I haven't seen anyone go a similar build like you plan to do so I can't help you there. I played a Dominating Blow + Zombie life based Necro last league and it was pretty great.

Uff Dominating Blow is melee range, I want to avoid extra stress :D

I picked Zombies because I did Skeletons, Spectres and Golems (twice) already. Only Zombies are left.
I do want to try Baron and Strength stacking, I am not married to using Geoffrey and going CI. But I was thinking of (ab)using Spirit Offering to get extra ES regen.

I have checked out Poe.ninja about this build. Seems a fair bit of people are playing this build. Baron, Geoffrey and stacking 1200 strength. Many are also using Mon'tregul which seems like a good idea (less zombies that block each other, their damage is almost the same but they are way more tanky).
But biggest difference is that they are not doing CI, just standard hybrid. Seems a hybrid can do 6000+ life and 5500+ ES with good gear. ES regenerates with Zealot's Oath and Spirit Offering and life is leeched to you by zombies.

I forgot why I hated the Corruption Chamber. I want just one 6L that isn't bricked/poofed; in Incursion I lost every single 6L, and now, another one. At this point, PoE is straight up mocking me.

Did they tweak the unique drop rate? I already found a Divination Distillate and a Andvarius while leveling... I also want to buy Taryn's Shiver and just looked up the price. It's at 1 Alc in Standard Betrayel. I'm pretty sure when I last played it was like 2 ex in HC leagues, lol.

Randomness is streaky

. Taryns shiver is probably so cheap nowadays cos there are so many good alternative unique spell staffs and also shaper crafted rares.

Yeah, but the biggest reason why the price dropped that much is probably that people love to go fast and staves fell out of the meta a while ago for that reason. Casters usually don't have enough attack speed to use Leap Slam well, so they often prefer using Scepter/Dagger + Shield for Shield Charge or specificially Daggers for Whirling Blades. And if you plan to go all out on DPS, I'm sure double Void Battery tops it which is another reason (though Void Battery is really expensive this league). Taryn's Shiver is still strong though, probably strong enough to clear everything well on a good build.

I did forget that Flame Dash is pretty legit now though and as is Phase Run for going faster. Still you wouldn't get to have Fortify which is pretty nice. But if you don't mind using more skills you can still use Vigilant Strike + The Vigil (a jewel) with staves, would make for a more reliable Fortify effect anyway.

Why not leap slam?

One of my builds recommended Shield Charge, while others recommend leap slam, and I don't see why one would be beneficial over another in one scenario but not another.

Speed. Leap slam is really slow, like really really slow if you don't have a very fast attack speed. And you can't use it with daggers due to the statstick change in this patch (both weapons must be usable with attacks that can't use all weapon types).

For caster-ish builds I've actually been rocking just Flame Dash and a Quicksilver on my second character this league and it's been fine. Flame Dash feels ok these days. I rarely find myself needing to just hold Flame Dash or Shield Charge for a long time depending on the map and if you clear it correctly without mega backtracking. Feels good. I was originally worried about having to squeeze Shield Charge in later on but have limited gem slots for it.

Easy way to trigger Arcane Surge as well.

@Duvon, @Duka: Thanks. The person who recommended I use leap slam suggested I also carry a brightbeak on my necromancer so that may be the context. I use leapslam on my duelists/marauders and I prefer it over every other movement skill I've used. Flame dash is limited to 3 uses, whirling blades doesn't hop over terrain, shield charge tends to get caught on tiny map features and doesn't hop, warp is slow (or at least it was when I didn't have much fcr), etc.

Btw, since I found out the hard way shield charge can't be done with a wand, does this mean that weapon attack speed affects shield charge? I sure fucking hope so otherwise I goofed up again lol.
