GGG and PoE whose success is built on the foundation of ethical mtx sales, now sells out to the biggest pay2win game company in existence. how amusing and ironic. nice payday for GGG founders, game starts to go down the shitter. can look forward to cheaper mtx, for a positive start. | ||

Yeh, if you look at my characters now you'll find I've upgraded, I unfortunately didn't think about it when I went in the first time, but it was still pretty easy, even if it took a bit longer. https://pastebin.com/xWFJKyz6 This is the character now, at lvl 86, with decent gear. | ||

I'm a bit curious if the backlash against supporter packs will have a serious effect, but for some reason I think it'll blow over and they'll be making more money in the future. Either by adjusted MTX tactics (which IMO are poorly designed/priced atm) or severe milking of the China realm. | ||

I don't think many are under that impression, but spending money on a supporter pack each league or so is not too costly for the amount of time that same player might spend playing in the league. ARPGs are a time sink. Compared to paying $60 for a modern AAA game you might get 20-30 hours of (or less than that lately when I get burned out/disappointed with it before the end), I get a lot more bang for my buck out of a league in PoE. The acquisition by a new entity may just put a sour taste in the mouths of folks that love buying those packs to support, whether or not the game or development is actually affected at all down the road. Who knows. Other than this thread I haven't really read much about it today so maybe there are pockets of the internet exploding or something. I don't think someone spending over $100 on cosmetics and supporter pack shit multiple times a year thinks GGG is some tiny startup struggling to scrape by or anything. To be clear I haven't bought any supporter packs, but did get stuff like tabs and a handful of MTX. | ||
