I find bow builds in a horrrendous position game balance wise, as there success falls almost entirely into either killing the boss in about .2 seconds or dying, as an aside both the shadow and the ranger heavily need more life on the right hand side of the tree, and evasion needs buffing vs all of the new bosses that have been put out. | ||

I also realized how life-poor the right hand side of the tree is when I was dinking around with SSF ideas a few days ago. It's pretty brutal. Glass cannon by design it seems, not just because people choose to forgo defense for amazing offensive options, but because the defensive options just aren't there lol. No decisions to make or balancing act between off/def. That's actually what I've enjoyed tinkering with the most in PoB and stuff on my previous characters (Jugg/Duelist stuff). | ||

The combination Zerphi / Indigon seems pretty obvious to me. I haven't tried building it myself, but Indigon gives a lot of spell damage for mana spent and Zerphi heals you for mana spent. So these builds will get as much mana + mana regen as possible and use a spell / attack that spends a lot of mana (this can be amplified with gear as well). | ||

I killed Uber Atziri earlier. I never tried to kill her before despite playing since the first open beta. Always hated how expensive it is to just try it. My Freezing Pulse Hierophant managed to do it, but Atziri herself not deathless ofc. Now I only haven't killed Uber Elder, and tbh I don't really want to right now since it seems insanely hard. | ||

Indigon builds don't even have huge enough life pools to need Zerphi. You can use some life leech in combination with faster healing normal potion for same effect. And mana pools usually have huge regen effect so that way when you do MoM your survivability is huge. As for removing Indigon.. then RF needs to be removed as well, also QotF. | ||

Genuinely honest question. I haven't been around PoE long enough to see its notorious history of buffs and nerfs (mostly nerfs) so I don't have a feel for why some things are too good when there are already builds/combos that are so good. | ||

Yeah, the life pool is slightly deceptive, because the amount of ES you get from Offering doesn't care about your total life, it cares about your base life, scaled by your % increased life and your % increased ES, stacking additively with each other. So for the purposes of sustain, it's often better to give up 5% life nodes for easy-to-path-to 8%+ ES nodes, even though it means you end up with a kinda unimpressive life total. Even then, I'm just barely at the break even point without fortify up. Currently grinding levels up to 90 or so to fill in a few more of those life nodes I skipped. | ||
