Elder-Guardian1-Guardian2. <- Kill Guardian1 and now u have perma elder on two maps. I ran some 400 maps for stat pool and I don't recommend mapping if you don't have elder or shaper on your map unless you have target farming or doing something very specific. | ||

I did the good old "shape your favorite maps" like always and completed no red maps (aka uncompleted them). I was able to chain non influenced T11-T15 (really only T13-T15 works too) and occasional T16, while just alch & go and occasional Chisel + a few yellow sextants on T14/T15. I could have got rich faster by other means, but at least I'm having fun playing the maps I enjoy playing. Let's see how big the difference is now with my Plateau being Elder influenced. | ||

No, because on those I wouldn't be able to kill the boss AND they would drop maps connected to them, which I would (probably) not want to play. So yeah I'm playing a pretty limited amount of different high level maps, but I prefer it this way. The variety was slightly better before War for the Atlas, since I only got 10 shaper orbs this time and didn't bother getting the last 5 (would have needed to uncomplete even more maps then I think?). | ||

You might want to consider conequerors potency, it allows you to get +3 projectiles from the Dying sun. Thats usually more dps increase than a rare jewel. (with Alchemist taken) Basically +1 arrow. | ||

Abyss jewels (and other items) surely allowed shit builds to become good and as such can be seen good for build diversity (which is only true if you don't care if your build is OP or playable at all), but only because they were broken. As for the Stygian belts, I agree with many people on Reddit saying that they will still completely kill normal belts really fast into the game (I wonder if they will even get a high level req?). Even if they drop rather poorly now, you can still craft a decent one fast enough. Basically the change justs makes leveling a bit harder unless you got the leveling items already. | ||

I definitely think Abyss jewels staying in the game is preferable to them being removed completely, but there's no question they need balancing. For belts? They basically said "The belts are really OP and completely overshadow other belts so we implemented a change that doesn't address that at all." Crazy. | ||
