....what was the problem in the first place? now im scared for my bladefall totems.

I guess it's a "nerf"; before I used conc and only one area cluster, and AoE felt fine. guess the AoE wasn't being properly modified

Pierce Gem got hit hard. was +7 pierces in beta, now +4.

It's a fucking enormous nerf to low life srs, instead of nerfing the baron they nerfed the skill and the necro support class in the worst way imagineable.

With the shock change and subsequent boss immunity removal I think shock build has quite an advantage in killing side-endgame boss now. Equip Thunderfist and you only need to deal a 5% boss life hit every 2s.

No. You can do critical burn builds. You can apply two ignites to enemies through critical hits and ignore chance to ignite. Yea they receive less dps but it lasts longer and it will kill them anyways. And if you are applying them through attack you can use that unique belt to counteract it.

The hell are you talking about? Changes to ignites, changes to emberwake has made it garbage tier. Critical burns already exist and the still do very very little damage.

Yes but you can apply 2 ignites, or 3 with 2x emberwake. And with critical version your damage will still be good and ignite will be a bonus. I think this is an upgrade to emberwake we had in 3.0 beta.

Ignite is not best thing to do now, but I think with this new emberwake and good critical build it could work out possibly OK.

PoB will tell us the truth when it is updated with these changes :D

This item was what made emberwake good. They could have changed emberwake to make it so ignites do 0 damage, and it still would have been better then what it is now so long as you can stack up more.

If i want to play elemental cleave, do i need to go wrath+anger or can I skip aura botting and go e.g. frenzy charges and base the damage of the elemental stuff on my gear?

Can do both, I'd advise against picking cleave and go for earthquake/bladeflurry though, as you'll probably find it mechanically a lot more enjoyable.

Oro's Sacrifice works well with Cleave. But Cleave is a boring skill with low AoE, just a warning
