Wanding needs very little gear over all, if you can get yourself to about level 70 or so you can probably afford the gear to get started (literally just need a piscator and 2 4 links). The problem wanding has more than anything is getting there comfortably, but I levelled up a wander in the mayhem league via spectral throw till about level 50 and then I was laughing.
With lets say 1ex of gear overall wanding has probably got top tier clear speed already, especially as a life based qotf raider - which will undoubtedly be the overall pick of choice. Crit capped with choir of the storm and zooming around dodge capped and chilling at 200%+ move speed one shotting a screen. How the hell do you get so much move speed? I am just playing a bow inquisitor with qotf I got 121% evasion from the tree, 300 dex, all evasion gear, Grace and when I use my jade flask and my 90% inc evasion other flask I get 78% move speed (I got no quicksilver in the setup).
Does this build go out of its way to take every move speed passive on the tree or is this some bonus from its ascendancy?

you have to use quicksilver dood. bow/wander without quicksilver is madness

so if you have QS + jade you will have much more MS

Since I don't have Fortify or Endurance Charges, Basalt flask i kind of important. But I did enchant it with inc evasion so it also gives me more movespeed

It's pretty much the same debate as a few days ago, once you're at a certain amount of clearspeed (aka exploding packs instantly) how fast you get from pack to pack becomes your best possible bet to further improve your build.
That's why *not* using a QS on e.g. the build bo1b suggested (or any bow build for that matter, same idea) is usually a pretty bad idea. I can think of very few builds where you walk from pack to pack where dropping adrenaline QS is actually worth it. Hell, even on builds that do shield charge QS & silver usually are your best bet for more clearspeed past a certain point.
Pathfinder/Necro/Raider are the only ones that come to mind where I'd even consider it viable and even then just for a map or two because you felt the need to prioritize a different flask due to mods or w/e.

OK I can understand that but I am not obsessed with clearspeed meta. I rather have another defensive flask so I can have less chance to lose another 10% XP

anyone used poeapp.com before? it's like poetrade but has some extra features. might try it out

Flasks for evasion based wanders would be as follows:
Movespeed - diamond - jade - vinktar (unless it's been absolutely gutted then toh) - seething divine
You don't take little hits so there is no need for slow life flask recovery.

For what it's worth I definitely feel that raider has more dps and movespeed but scion is overall the better choice, as 50% reduced reflect damage taken is nothing to scoff at.

Spoiler cause beta bosstalk.
+ Show Spoiler +What kinda times are people who do beta runs right now getting for Kitava on which classes? I have a really, really hard time pushing him below 3h with generic FB totem/firestorm builds. Might have to do a Duelist run just to see if I'm terribad or if it's the builds.
Also while the fight in general is np that addphase doesn't feel foolproof at all. Shit slows you, chunks and just crushes hopes and dreams in general. It looked crazy smooth on SRS but this is kinda rough. Any thoughts?

I can do a serious run like tomorrow, been really lazy. I think once you learn the mechanics it's not so bad

I think once you learn the mechanics it's not so bad I mean you either need very good deeps and/or instaclear the wave (Sunder, RF totems, SRS) or you look like an idiot, that's kinda my take on it so far. There's not really any mechanics involved in that specific spot.

Kitava heart phase is super cancer as it's simply a dps check for now. When he spawns 2 uniques, the melee guy + caster it just feels awful because they're so tanky.

it's my experience that most of the bosses are nuts
well at least kitava i thought the doedre fight was pretty nuts a couple others too but i can't recall which at this exact moment

With the ailments change, is chilled ground affected in anyway?
|
yeah chilled ground is only 10% slow instead of 30%. rejoice all
if anyone needs currency to test stuff on beta I have like 150c, assorted currency extra. and a bunch of maps.

its reduced effectiveness to a 10% slow, but since their changes are (I'm fairly sure) paired with a removal of most if not all chill immunities, you should be able to now chill endgame bosses, which unlocks several mechanics.

I'm trying to decide if dark pact has good damage self casting / totem casting. Based on the datamining it has around 600 average chaos damage, with 0.5s cast time and 5% crit chance. is that good enough? there isnt a good chaos skill to compare it to
