@ phantom i think Howa w/raider ascendancy is propably the most op and cheap shit to do all endgame (all 4 guardians, shaper and uber atziri doable--> no immunity problems like poison has) with current information about 2.6, might change tho?
Is HOWA ST that strong? Also raider is better for it than deadeye?
Howa st is arguably the strongest build in the game with good enough gear. Definitely up there with bflurry assasin and coc discharge.
Interesting. I've been away from the game for thus league. How would ngamahus flame cyclone compare? Is it just not a top build at all?
Yeh I just put some gear into that build, made some changes to it and now I'm crit capped with 140k dps per totem (with gmp, take that out and put in slower proj in and up ~200k dps per totem.
That said it probably costs around 30 ex to even start, so....

EA was a blast to start the league with in case you want something similar but just a bit weaker compared to FB totems!
What version did you end up going?
Elementalist and was suuuuper happy with it.
Pathfinder or Berserker might end up stronger but Elementalist just does the job with barely any investment. 5L quill for AoE + Wyrmsign for singletarget, done. Fast, budget, safe, fun.
Just a low ilvl trash quill with wyrmsign carrying was totally fine for all early maps until I could afford the 5L prophecy.
Fair enough. One day when I have unlimited currency (never), I'm gonna try it with 6l +1 arrow quill rain, + 1 rear guard and pathfinder with a dying sun, thats 6 arrows with conc effect and no gmp. Should only cost about 120ex lol.
Hey guys, I haven't played this game in 3+ years. I feel like a noob nowadays, I feel as if so much has changed. Right now I am interested in getting a loot filter, but I am afraid I might lose out on items I might would want. Could anyone recommend a good, but not overly restrictive loot filter? I am considering NeverSink's loot filter, what are you guys' thoughts?
I basically want something to filter out useless white and blue items, but keep pretty much anything else.

its initial damage radius got buffed (12 to 14) but the heavy nerfs to aoe gem and aoe nodes (i mean if u are using bladeflurry you will take aoe nodes anyway) will make it lower than now.
Flameblast isn't actually that nerfed because its stacks are already '+ base radius' not 'increased/more aoe'.
So it will only suffer in the general sense of stacking aoe gem+nodes+mods like everything else, not in a specific sense where its (channeling) stacks got worse.

its has nothing to do with how stacks increase aoe, 10 stack base fb now is still the same as 10 stack base fb 2.6
as long as your base radius still remains the same if you take aoe gem and the 2 main aoe node clusters, your overall aoe is expected to drop by ~30% from before, period thats how badly the aoe gem and node clusters are gimped

That's the point. Because it already had the favourable mechanic the base radius at 10 stacks is still the same as before.
Compare this to Reave, which instead uses a more modifier for its stacks. This is why Reave is completely gutted and Flameblast isn't.
Yes, an AoE nerf hurts Flameblast because Flameblast is a skill that you normally take all the AoE you can get on. But it doesn't hurt Flameblast in particular because Flameblast is mechanically susceptible to the changes, which was not at all a given if you're not very familiar with how AoE works in PoE.
It could have been a lot worse for Flameblast if it was coded in a slightly different way. You know.. like Reave.
Just in case anyone is similarly terrible like me and needs a few more challenges done at 1800 CET / 1700 UTC we have a brave hero who will do a Shaper run in SC.
err 30-40% is PRETTY significant. at higher pack size map have to lay down a few more totems to kill some stragglers. prolif variant also has same base aoe and thus also hit hard
