Or do you mean the uber lab trials? I too am already bored of prophecy, it was entertaining for a while but all the backtracking and unrewarding prophecies became boring real fast. It just feels like im playing standard now. Don't think this league will retain me as long as perandus. | ||

Don't think this league will retain me as long as perandus. XP rates were changed. I got so heavy xp penalty on lower maps that I really wanted to roll any packsize or two on first week. Holding top100 was more fun in this league because of that but now you can just buy the higher tier maps and I see some people saying that reds are still worse to run. I don't think prophecy mechanic as league is too interesting and feels really weird sometimes when you hunt for certain mob for crap loot. Maybe they expected people to roll prophecies and not run the bad ones. I'm not very surprised about the circlejerk. | ||

The xp per hour you can do from just running through shit like underground sea is hard to beat, even when you are getting hefty xp penalties you can pull better xp/hour. For straight up xp I would just run the easy layouts like that. Did that change? You mention xp penalties changed so the above might not still be a thing; but I havent mapped at all this league as I basically quit a few days in =[. | ||

I think the xp penalty comes into effect after you hit 90-92 but I also noticed that leveling in merciless dried lake wasn't good after ~76. | ||

The kill x powerful monster for a unique item is my most hated prophecy. It floods the market with uniques and devalues a lot of uniques. Imo those prophecies need to be more rare and random uniques (if not all uniques then at least a decently big pool). One of the better ones funnily enough is the 5 uniques into 1 unique Prophecy, I wish I would get it more often. All in all, Prophecy feels like a solo league. I bet for selffound it's one of the best ones yet. My EA char ended up pretty good btw, it's like you guys said. Tanky, great clear speed... just not very good against tanky bosses that don't move near walls and are alone. I didn't go BM but MoM & Mana like I said, and it works quite fine, but mostly due to the lucky leech enchant on my boots I suppose. A nice bonus is that I can use Divination Distillate sometimes. | ||

Seriously this... there's also a bunch of prophecy that are some variation of "you will kill [army/horde/mob] at [random location you don't want to go to]", which force you to go to something like fellshrine ruins, to kill a bunch of mobs... with no guaranteed reward. Yeah it's less tedious than some other prophecy but there's basically no pay out. ?? For the most part I just sell my silver coins, and try to get the prophecy chains, which make things a bit more interesting. | ||

Yeah, you can seal and bin everything and keep the 1/100 prophecy that's actually rewarding, but does that really make for a good league? Picking up silver coins and mulching them until one randomly gives you something? Sounds like exactly the same thing we've always done anyway? | ||

I don't know about you but like 70-80% are useful for mapping and some of them add serious danger with them like suddenly popping shit. Rewards are not just "ok here's a chaos or here's a random unique" but loveable general bluepacks with nice xp and rogue exiles with huge loot tables etc. Most annoying thing about prophecies is that I pop more than 1-3 usually in a map so I have to go through 2 loading screens just to load new ones. Perandus had shitty, boring lag packs everywhere and not much else but it didn't seem to get such negative marks. Then there's miscellaneous prophecies like double enchants, masters and currency ones. (I recommend stocking on cartographer chisel ones) It might not be weirdest and most exciting game changing leagues but it's kind of constant like tempest and something you can look forward to while mapping. Weird downside about it is you can easily miss on "how to" get into it since it's not forced. | ||
