Used to be like that, but I think after all the bow&quiver buffs leveling Ranger is pretty OK nowadays. If you pick up or buy 2 iron rings you are fine unless you don't get bow upgrades forever and find no quiver.

I haven't played PoE since act 4 was release and have ~600 hours prior so I'm fairly familiar with the game just not all the updates. Are there any builds I could try that are 'wrist friendly'? I know that's kind of an oxymoron in an arpg but I've developed some nasty RSI in my mouse hand. Any suggestions on old man builds I could try to run in the current patch?

Doing something similar myself, i felt strong until the end of A1, then progressively weaker in A2 until i became a literal god from a unique bow drop in A3, i just kept trying to power myself up using alchs & chance orbs to try and get decent gear, didnt get any good rolls though tbh. X-Y damage on attack rolls are your friends though ive found early on. The biggest boosts i felt came from getting lightning arrow and barrage, nearing my blast rain gem reward so i can switch barrage out, should be good.

Btw new hideout decorations cost only 100 atm so u can MASS some items. :D
e: wtfl lol lightning coil and voltaxic rift dropped inside of 5 hour period.

Fixed a problem where certain unreleased hideout decorations were available early, and at the wrong prices and levels. These are unfinished and will probably be destroyed tomorrow. We will refund favour spent on them when this occurs.

Also, how good would this new bow be for EA? I guess it wouldn't beat Quill Rain, but still looks not bad. Free GMP would lower mana costs a lot, and it's not slow either Obviously not as good for BM builds though.

I just spent 40minutes making my hideout with new props...
Dunno how good the bow is with EA but the bow is prob multiex.

Yup, unless it drops very often which is unlikely. However I think for crit bow builds good Harbringer bows will be better most likely, so it's at least not for every build out there.

Takes something close to a 400+ PDPS well rolled crit Harbinger to beat the Council Bow. The free GMP is actually a pretty big deal.

Wow, people on reddit are whining a lot about the shieldcharge nerf. In my opinion the skill looked way too OP, clearspeed miles above most other skills. A 20% area of effect nerf will not change that, moving while killing is just great.

yea I think it's deserved, just that it looks like such a fun skill sad to be already nerfed

my favorite part is the discharge buff. they were like 'oh god, redditors are right, we made a spell that can't instantly clear the screen!'
meanwhile my cyclone only hits like half of the enemies around it at one time - gets completely ignored.

Didn't the mathil's version have under 5k hp and abyssus on which had that crazy clear speed? Didn't look strong at all if u take that into account.
I'm also bummed they don't buff melee skills like cyclone.
