For example, you have a big pack in a box formation. You pound 3 volleys into the front row, and 5 front mobs have 3-charge arrows on them. Big explosion, but the back of the box lives because 3-charge arrows don't have THAT much aoe. A few more shots finishes off the back row. With say 70% chance to hit, some of your arrows would land instead in targets in the middle of the pack. Of course, that's inconsistent so they would generally have only 1 charge on those explosions at the back, but maybe that's enough damage to kill the pack. Who knows. And yes, in the end if your arrows keep missing they end up in a wall where they still explode. The explosions never roll accuracy, they just always hit since they aren't "attacks". In my opinion the consistency of always hitting is good since you just play around that style, but of course RT locks out elemental overload so you won't be taking it. Failing RT, I think accuracy is basically whatever. If you pick some up, You'll have less pack penetration but more reliable playstyle. If you don't, you'll see less full-charge explosions but more spread damage. If you use ice wall cheese for single target, then accuracy is irrelevant for single target. If you don't then yes you'll see less nice 5-charge explosions on the boss unless you are RT or have accuracy. One trick I found was that if you could lure a rare or boss into a doorway, just pounding into it resulted in all the extra arrows exploding right beside it for fine damage (much like ice wall cheese). | ||
